I cannot seem to get past step 4, and then when I do, Step 5 gives me a blank page.

Then all other pages like shop front and admin index.php pages are all blank.

I am on win2k

Any help?

Try and refresh after it diverts to the new page and/or just simply change the CHMOD back to 644 and then go directly in the www.yourdomain.com/admin.

Also if you get to the admin page then delete the install folder so the cart for the clients can work.
