I am new to CubeCart . . . new to actually using ANY shopping cart application, actually . . . and I have been wondering just how the "language" modules/functions work.

I mean, when you select a language - does it automatically translate the site for that particular language?
Or do you have to translate it yourself and then link that selection to the translated page(s)?


Basic question, I know . . . . but we all have to start somewhere.

The language file is allready there for all the cart layout.

The description of products, you need to do later.

Ahhh, I see . . . I suspected as much, just wasn't sure.

So, all of the "standard" language will be translated, but anything that I customize myself would have to be translated by me - correct?

Yes and any products you wish to have the details in other language you will need to do them just as you would of done with your default language
