I was working on my site but hadn't changed anything on it for about 10 minutes when I tried to go back to my admin and it came up with this error:


MySQL Error Occured
2005: Unknown MySQL server host 'mysql1.streamline.net' (2)


Anyone know what's going on? Is my host's - Streamline - server down? Does this mean it will rectify itself?

Also it's taking aaaaaaaaaages to load the page up at all!

Check running processes on your domain. You may have a script that is taking to much cpu time.

Log on to your domain at your host. On mine I go into the error logs and there is a link for running processes. I don't know how you would access this so you might want to give them a call and ask.

Hiya thanks for advice but it's working now. I guess it must have been a process taking too long.

I tried calling my host but was informed by automated service they don't offer telephone support and have submitted a support ticket so will probably get a reply in about three days. I'm definitely not renewing with them next year!
