Hi All,

I want to implement SSL on my site (just for checkout, admin, registration, etc...) and have read numerous postings and am concerned that I will "lock up" my store if I don't do it to a "T".

My first question is to anyone with an SSL. Who would you recommend - any particular SSL better than another when implementing into CubeCart?

Secondly, have all of these SSL issues that I have read about been corrected?

Lastly, can anyone provide a straight forward install direction based on their own experience?

Thank you in advance!

Don't panic, because there's a config tool you can download which lets you re-adjust the settings.

Unfortunately, because of forum rules, we cannot provide information on third party providers. There are lots of providers out there, all with different pricing.

Mine where. I used my own wildcard certificate (Which covers subdomains as well), and it was a question of simply making a couple of adjustments (The odd / here or there).

Hmmmm, not really because what works for someone may not work for you because of a different store configuration, and how the certificate has been set up.

Hope that helps.

i was concerned too, her is my setup:
- hosted on a shared server [bluehost]
- ssl certificate by godaddy

i had to get a dedicated IP for the ssl to work (got it from host)
i installed the certificate on cPanel myself (your host can do that too though) and told the host and they had to do sth. on their end as well ....
then i put it into cubecart and it just worked.

btw, when you are out and comparing prices for SSL certs, the cheap ones are as secure as the really expensive ones. if there is a difference, then in the amount that a transaction is insured and also in the perception of your customers - everyone knows verisign by now .... however, i figured that most people (me too) look to the padlock symbol and are okay with that ....

settings in cc for me are:
https://www........com/shop
/shop/
