I receive the following 403 error on step 3 of 5 when clean installing latest version of Cubecart:

"You don't have permission to access /store/install/index.php on this server."

I tried manually setting up and global and sql - frontend worked, backend had numerous php errors.

Any ideas why both automatic and manual setup dont work? For interest's sake i have also tried installing previous release of cubecart with same problem.

I assume you set permissions correctly? Who is your host?

I assume I have set my permissions correctly. Step 2 CHMOD check says everything has right permissions. Is there a list of permission settings for installation?

OK. I have fixed my own problem now by adding the following to my .htaccess file:

SecFilterEngine off

Hope this helps others in the future
