Up until I don't know when this site was working fine - http://www.paperharvest.com/

Then my friend says "People can't buy anything". So I try and log-in but cannot. I checked the latest version and think, hmm better upgrade. I was at 3.0.2. So I went thru all the rigmarole with all the various upgrade scripts each one telling me everything was AOK until I went from 3.0.13 to 14 and 15 which is when it all went pearshaped. I used the files that were suggested as the only changes between versions, uploading each to their various directories.

Link above - ANY KIND SOUL with ANY idea WTF is going on? I would truly appreciate it. This is one of those favours you do for friends that turn into productivity sink-holes.

Thanks Les, Dallas. mad.gif

You've not uploaded the following file:

- includes/sessionStart.inc.php

And the script is searching for:

language/cxzxc/config.inc.php

which seems strange...

What may end up being the best thing to do would be to install a fresh copy and reapply whatever mods you've added one by one, especially since you're not sure when the site was last working.

Although it will take time, at least you will KNOW that everything is the way it should be.
Brivtech
I second that. Make a backup of your database first.

When you make your fresh install, DO NOT SELECT DROP TABLES IF THEY EXIST! - If you do select this, your existing database will be wiped clean, and you don't want that.

Thanks Alan, Paula & Brivtech

I tried uploading the file suggested - God knows how it got missed. That other file was a bogus directory that for some reason In could not delete - it's gone now.

But still not working - error now is

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare unsetglobals() (previously declared in /home/paperh/public_html/includes/ini.inc.php:27) in /home/paperh/public_html/includes/ini.inc.php on line 24

Don;t have time right now to re-upload everything, any suggestions welcome

May be your only solution.

The problem as I see it - something along the upgrade path has gone wrong, causing some files to be incorrect, which is causing the errors. Each time you solve one thing, another may appear. Such errors are obviously created under a unique situation, so addressing them individually, may actually take more time in the long run.

Can't suggest anything else.

OK it is back to kind of what it was earlier - I just uploaded saved files from a couple of months ago

What do I have to do to get rid of the errors at the top of the page??

Thanks Les

Advice has been given.

OK advice taken. I have renistalled CUbeCart and it is running fine - vers 3.0.15 or whatever the latest is.

Now how do I get my inventory ONLY from my SQL backup into the new database? I have tried the import function in phpMyadmin but that just overwites everything and then the store is broken again - well the inventory gets sucked in fine but the ability to log-in as admin gets knackered.

Thanks for any help - Les
Mysty
You can open a copy of the sql backup file and delete the sections you don't want it to import. (Or copy those you do want into another file, whichever is a shorter list).

The cubecart config tool may also be of some use to check over some of your DB settings: https://www.cubecart.com/site/helpdesk/inde...d=5&nav=0,5
