Hello:

I just found CubeCart in my fantastico package and have successfully installed and configured it for a client using a sub directory on my server. Now, I have the domain name pointing at server space for this cleint and I want to install it on her space. However, I get an error when I try to install it on right under the public_html folder. It is requiring me to create a subdirectory to install it.

This is the error I get: "You chose to install in the main directory of the domain ckayjewelrydesigns.com, but there are conflicting filenames, therefore we can not proceed. Following filenames already exist in the main directory of the domain ckayjewelrydesigns.com (path="/home/ckay/public_html/").You must manually remove these files before proceeding with auto-installation:

I don't want to do that becasue of SEO reasons. The site is just the cart, using the index.php page as the "home page". If I download it and manually install it will it then work? When isntalling in Fantastico it says to leave the sub directory filed blank to isntall it in the root directory. I do that and get the error above.

The cart is succesfully installed at this location: http://www.lswebesign.com/CKAY . I now want to move it to www.ckayjewelrydesigns.com and have the index.php page be the home page...

Thank you

Solved my own problem. I downloaded the cart and manually installed it instead of using Fantastico in COntrol Panel on my server. Doing it this way I was able to install it in the root public_html folder.

Lesson learned..

Thanx for viewing

As you have just confirmed.....Fantastico == Crapola. Thanks for flying CubeCart. biggrin.gif
