Ok, I have gone as far as FTP'ing the cubecart files to a /store/ directory on my website.

I go to my directory and I get to step 3 of installation (you know where you enter your mysql hostname and all that), and i click continue and i get a blank window.

I am not sure why this is happening.

Also, I went and tried changing the CHMOD permissions to 777 for the 4 folders, and it wouldnt allow me to do this. I am using windows. Could this be my problem?

Does anyone have any suggestions???

I'm not sure why you got a blank window, but on a Windows server you have to give the includes/global.inc.php file write permissions before you start the install. You can't do this thru a ftp client. Your host will have to do this. After the install, the write permission can be removed.
