Hi. I am having trouble getting past step 3 in the installation proces. I have all the information that I need in order to fill the form. I just can´t seem to get it right

I have the following informations:
For ftp transfer etc.:
Host: shopdesigns.dk
Login:shopdesigns.dk
Password:xxxxxxxx

For the mysql database:
mysql06.clich.dk
User: shopdesigns.dk
Password: xxxxxxxx

when I wrote:
Database Hostname: shopdesigns.dk
Database Name: mysql06.clic.dk
Database Username: shopdesigns.dk
Database password: xxxxxxxx

I got the following message:
MySQL Error Occured
1102: Incorrect database name 'mysql09.cliche.dk'

Have also tried to switch the different information, but nothing seems to work.... Anyone that can help me?

I think you're getting a few things wrong here.

Your database host name is the server location of where the database is kept, not the location of your own website.

clic.dk isn't a web-host that would hold the database, whereas clicke.dk is, and you've made a similar mistake with clich.dk - Be very careful with your typing.

So, the problem is the settings that you are giving the program - Perhaps there is something being lost in the translation or technicality of what's needed, as well as your spelling.

Based on the above information, try this instead:

Database Hostname: mysql06.cliche.dk
Database Name: shopdesigns.dk
Database Username: shopdesigns.dk

I would also double check all the settings you have been given with the host.

Just tried it as you explaned, like this:

Database Hostname: mysql09.cliche.dk
Database Name: shopdesigns.dk
Database Username: shopdesigns.dk
(These are the correct data)

Still get the following error notice:

MySQL Error Occured
1102: Incorrect database name 'shopdesigns.dk'

Any other ideas are most welcome?

When you created the sql database in your cpanel, it would have assigned it a name, usually like account_ccrt1 or something similar. If you go to cpanel, you can go to mysql and look a the existing databases that are there. Use the name *exactly* as it shows in your cpanel.

I'm sure your Database Username is wrong to - you need to create a user and assign it to the database in cpanel. Again, be sure to use it *exactly* as you create it in step 3.

If you still have problems, contact your hosting company and ask them for the correct information.

Does your webhost support CPANEL with Fantasico installed? From Fantastico you can have cubecart 3.0.15 installed automatically, including the database setup and file configurations.
