I really need help desperately. I think I totally messed up my database. Even though I backed up the database before attempting to upgrade, my admin doesn't work. I keep getting MySQL errors. I restored the db, but that didn't help...
Any advice would be very much appreciated!

Did you make a backup of your actual CC files?
It's highly unlikely you would mess up the database. It's more likely that the files are the issue. As Charles2005 said, did you make a copy of the files before upgrading them?
