Hello all!
I have just about finished my store. I would like to also have a test store on my site so I can make adjustments and tests without affecting my live store. How do I do about creating another store on my server? The one that I already created can be the live store or the test store, it doesn't matter.
I have looked all over the place to find this info with no luck. Thank you for your help!!!

Have you tried just doing another install but in a different folder?
I don't really know how the database issue would work as I assume you want both to function of the same database.

You can load up your database with as many stores as you like, just ensure that you give each one a different database prefix when making the installation.
As Subten said, simply install into a different folder, i.e.
www.domain.com/test1/
You can then fiddle around with the .htaccess to stop search anyone but you going there if you want.
Or, you can create a subdomain, but subdomain configuration can end up being a little tricky, depending on how they've been set up on your server, and the SEO mod won't work on some subdomain configurations without a tweak.

Thank you!
I wanted both the live store and the testing store to be an identical sandbox, so that changes could be tested safely without breaking the working store.
I exported the database from the first store. Then I installed Cubecart to another folder, went back to MyPhpAdmin and imported the database into the new store DB, which confused the new Cubecart, so I ran the Cubecart upgrade script and also changed the database pointers.
Everything works properly now.

I found out that with the SEO mod the subdomain won't work. Can you explain to me how to tweak the mod?
