If I install this to a sub domain am I going to be able to transfer the entire content to the main domain if I decide to keep it after testing happy.gif ?

TIA
Brivtech
Yes!

Installing on a subdomain isn't much different to installing to a different website - You will need to adjust various system configuration settings when you move the store, so that it knows where all the data and related files are supposed to be.

It sounds to me like you haven't configured your subdomain properly, or have uploaded the files to a wrong area.

What host are you using? Do you mind giving us the subdomain URL?

I have PM'd the site to you

Well, I clicked on the link you gave me, and it went straight to the install page, which would be correct.

Type it into your web browser, and tell me exactly what you see, even if it's an error message.

Strange... I keep getting redirected to the main "Original site"

Have you tried contacting your host?

Becasue I can see it in my browser, then perhaps it's a browser problem your end. Have you tried refreshing the page? Clearing cookies? Clearing the browser cache? I really don't know what else to suggest.

For me, it works on both IE and FF.
