I run a store using another package and have only used a web front end. I have no idea how to set up SQL database PHP etc.
is there an idiots guide of how to set up Cube Cart anywhere?

For hosting - I guess it depends where you are in the world and whether you are just doing one or multiple stores. I always recommend a local hosting supplier (there is some thought that Google gives preferential local results to local served pages - i.e if you are in the UK use a UK provider)

I'm in the UK and happily use NativeSpace - its cheap, easy to set up and despite the fact you cant talk to anyone, I cant fault their support (they reply very promptly to support tickets indeed) - Its a Cpanel system so is a one-click install for cubecart....

as long as you stay within the terms of the software license...
