I was just turned to cubecart, this is a great application. Being new to cubecart, I have installed two sites different products. Has anyone had multiple site selling same products point to one DB?

Haven't tried it, but in theory it should work. Just use the same database settings for both. Of course the customers and orders would also be shared between the 2 sites - if that doesn't bother you, than no problems.

I drew up an unfortunately long list of the things that will need to be accomplished for this to work. This is a lot more intense then it sounds.

I began digging into it, but unfortunately it will be some time before it's done.

I don't know about CC3. But in CC4 you can use database prefixes to run multiple stores from the same database.
