Are there alternatives to editing and adding products without going through the web interface.

I find it VERY cumbersome to add all the options, then add all the values, then assign all of them to the appropriate products.



Also, wondering about good secure ways of handling credit card transactions through my site. I am currently using PayPal, but have heard that it is expensive at 2.9%+.50. Thanks for your input.
