I had just the same problem when trying to install another (very very similar) cart to my website recently so now I'm wondering if it's my site that is the problem.

I am with Mr Site but would like to try Cube Cart rather than what they supply you with. I have used net2ftp to upload the Cube Cart files into www/wwwroot. However, when I try to go to http://www.kutuu.com/store (the folder I installed it to) it says that the it declined to show the webpage, probably because I need to log in. I can go to other files within that directory though such as http://www.kutuu.com/store/skins/legend/st...es/progress.gif so I'm totally confused! I tried setting the CHMOD to 755 for 'store' and all the subdirectories and files within it but no luck.

Any ideas?

Has anyone here installed Cube Cart onto a Mr Site website?

Thanks,
Hannah

Who, what and where is a Mr. Site? If you tell us where we can see the hosts specs, that might give a clue as to your situation. Not every host is compatible.

OK, I Googled and found it. They are not a hosting company in the sense that most of us would mean it.

I'm not too sure what to call it. They offer a tool for building a web site and they host it. But nothing I see says you have control beyond a primitive and proprietary method.

Go to the home page of CubeCart and read the specs you'll need for a hosting server.

Good luck

Thanks. I've contacted Mr Site to see what they can tell me too. I do have FTP access .... I think that's about as far as it goes though, maybe. Do I need to be able to get onto the sites SQL to set it up too? I'm not sure I can.

Oh well, maybe I'll think about moving once my year is up if I can't do it as I hoped.
