Full Version: Manual install CCv3 PDF question says upload "2" folders

Hello,

I downloaded the current CCv3 and it's manual. However, the manual states:

If you browse to the extracted files which are present at the end of Stage 1 you will see
two folders and one file. Double click the “upload” folder.

Well I actually have 4 folders and one file:

_MACOSX
changelog
upgrade
upload
Read Me. txt

Now obviously I see the one folder to upload is "upload" as the instructions state above, but which other folder is required? I don't want to upload the others if they are NOT needed. Wastes space and clutters.

Thanks everyone,
Tammy

There is no other folder required. You will be uploading the contents of the upload folder, but not the folder itself.

OK, so someone need to tweak the PDF instructions.

The upgrade folder contains everything necessary to get you from a prior version of an already installed CC to the latest version. This will quite probably break any mods.

And the changelog folder contains information you may need to manually tweak the code of an existing CC install to get to the latest version. If you are patient and can maintain your focus for extended periods of time, you will save your mods.

Thanks bsmither.

I am the one that had problems with images disappearing on bluehost (and they finally said "can't help you" and that it has to be CC's fault) so I found another host lunarpages and I wanted to make sure I didn't upload anything I didn't need as I will not be using fantastico at all this go around. So I am waiting for my domain to kick in to get rolling and I sure hope CC works this go around.

I will not install any mods or skins until I see CC is working properly and then I will add the mods and skin one at a time and check it again so I can possibly catch any potential errors.

Thanks, you seem to be the one person that does reply to all of my posts, I really appreciate that.
