If I was to set up our website through Cubecart which software would afford me to sell the business outright without any penalty from cubecart? or does cubecart maintain control over all sites no matter which product you select?

Also if I have already purchased a domain name from godaddy.com can it be used with the cubecart software or would I have to re--purchase it through cubecart?

CubeCart is a Content Management System & Shopping Cart. You need hosting and an existing domain to use it. You cannot buy hosting or domains from CubeCart. You just install CubeCart on your hosting account with which you must have already purchased a domain.

When you purchase CubeCart you are purchasing a license to use it on your hosting account. Devillion, the makers of CubeCart will always own the software, you are just purchasing the right to use the software.
