Full Version: Live Stores

booker
You know, I like to browse through the latest live stores that people submit to this site. But sometimes, the mind just boggles.

http://www.philkaosdesigns.com/cart/

The above link is the site of a *designer*. Personally, I think he's overcharging his customers. Especially when you consider the ability of his designs. I mean, don't get me wrong. The default cubecart design is nothing to scoff at. But if that is the best a designer can do to personalize it, well, I think I'd rather hold onto my money...

Just plain "mad"

Even his hosting prices are ridiculous....no-one pays that much for hosting nowadays...expecially not for so LITTLE space!

If I could type it phonetically, I'd do Daffy Ducks "RIDICERLISS" thing.
[I love daffy duck...so shoot me]

That really does take the piss... I am looking at going into the hosting market and for that price I could sell you:
1GB Disk Space
10GB Transfer
25 MySQL's
50 POP3
50 FTP
cPanel
Free Domain

£10 a month ($22)

So I dunno what provider he is with to charge that much!

Anyway, as for a designer he hasn't done much to his store... I have seen complete novices at least do something!

Just my say biggrin.gif

If he's successfully selling at those prices, maybe I should get into logo design.

Here's one I made for myself the other day in a few minutes:

Fairly simple and nothing to cry over, but I like it.

P.S. Buy my products please.
