Guest custodio5801
Hi, I was setting up an affiliate program to run with JAM and needed to know what to put in the: "URL to JAM:" part... Thanks
Guest
That field is asking where you have installed JAM so sales tracking will work. Generally, if you specify the URL to the main installation folder, you'll be good.
Guest custodio5801
Hi, Thanks for the reply. Mine has this filled in: www.nameofsite.com/affiliates/?req=newaccount&pid=1 But I don´t remember putting in that info... but accourding to what you said shouldn´t it be something like this: www.nameofsite.com/jamaffiliates/ and something else after that? That field is asking where you have installed JAM so sales tracking will work. Generally, if you specify the URL to the main installation folder, you'll be good. Guest
The best thing to do in these types of situations is to try something and run a test sale to verify whether it works or not. Not sure why there would be anything like "?req=newaccount&pid=1" in the URL field. In fact, I'm fairly certain that would create problems. If your JAM installation is in the "/jamaffiliates/" folder, then you're right in thinking the URL should be "www.nameofsite.com/jamaffiliates/", although you probably want the "http://" added to the beginning of that. Otherwise, you can probably get away with using "/jamaffiliates/" in that field.
