SMTP successful no emails sent on 6.5.4

Understood, see, I knew there was something about it. Thanks @bsmither They are all there, except for verify newsletter subscription yet I have tested with other ones that have it, such as recovery password (Spanish) and order cancelled (Spanish), with the same result. Emails not arriving, not even at the junk folder level. Yet, everything about the SMTP is successful. It must be server but Godaddy service sucks when you mention third party apps -
This reminds me of a conversation on these forums that discussed where, if an email template does not have a version ready for use for a given language, or if the language needed for the email has not been installed or enabled, then the email process falls apart. Please verify that the email to be sent for a cancelled order has the appropriate template has a version for the language used by the order.

I do receive the email where it says "if you are reading this email then you can be sure that email from your store is working", yet, for cancelled orders or even testing for the newsletters, emails are not being sent. Thanks for replying @Al Brookbanks, there are the settings. One thing I just found out is that if I add a product to the cart, and click on secure checkout until I arrive to the last page where the PayPal button and the fields for credit card are, at that point, the order gets generated. It shouldn't obviously because the customer hasn't even paid, he is just being presented with payment options yet the order gets processed under order. Maybe is missing a setting somewhere.

Sorry Frank. The release is new and I've been tied up on support all day. Restoring a backup is a good plan for now. I haven't come across any stores with this problem yet using the files I've linked to in this thread. -

Looks like my only option is to revert all the stores back to 6.5.3 and try again when I return to the UK In 20 years plus using Cubecart I have never had such an issue. -

There are two approaches: replace the file /classes/gd.class.php with the file found in CC653, or visit your site's control panel and manage the extensions installed in PHP. Enable 'EXIF' (and 'MBSTRING' if not already) to the group of enabled extensions.

It just got worse! If your skin is based on the Foundation platform, there is already the CSS necessary to give radius corners. See: https://get.foundation/sites/docs-v5/components/buttons.html See the last example in 'Button Sizing'. Edit the template to affect one button. Then, using the Developer Tools for your browser, examine the CSS rules that Foundation applies to class="button radius". Edit the skin CSS file 'cubecart.common.css' and add, at the bottom of that file, those same CSS rule(s) to make the corners have a radius, but for all buttons, not just for .button.radius. Alternatively, we can make a code snippet to load in a custom CSS file -- which will survive an upgrade if using the stock Foundation skin.

I have been told by several people my site would look nicer if all the buttons and boxes were radius corners instead of sharp corners. I have tried to go into css files and add radius to buttons, but it does not seem to change any buttons. So my first question is how do I know which css file to change for what? Second question is do I need to do more or just change the css file?

As reported in bugs I recently upgraded six sites to 6.5.4. Those customers are reporting errors with the vat and total calculations. Anyone else experiencing similar and is there a fix? e.g. www.wesleywindows.co.uk

Hello fellow geeks, so, customer tries to pay, the order goes through but the transaction fails at PayPal level. That's fine as it's a customer's issue, but how do I stop the order from going through? I often find myself cancelling orders due to this reason. As you can see, the customer was presented with the authentication but he skipped it, so obviously there wasn't a monetary transaction, yet the order goes through! It shouldn't go through! Whenever I am shopping online and there is an issue with the payment, the order simply won't go through, then I know there was a problem. Not only I have to keep cancelling these random orders but also explaining customers that the order went through at the website level yet not at a financial level. How to avoid this? How to prevent cubecart accepting orders that fail the payment authentication process? Thanks in advance! AJ
