  1. BSmither meant the skin template files and those can be changed to suit a different layout which is fine if all of your customers are from one country (or use one format as most of Europe except the UK does) but it would be much better if CubeCart could look at the country that the address is for and adjust the format to suit Ian Raised a github issue for this https://github.com/cubecart/v6/issues/1504
  2. We arent ! Specialist CubeCart hosting providing support for your CubeCart installation and not just the hosting so no disconnect or arguing who is at fault. Migrated so many people from Hostgator that have lost count !
  3. CubeCart doesnt have any issues working in sub-directories either ! Check your Cookie domain setting in Store Settings | SSL tab and also check your .htaccess is correct
  4. Just been notified of another one that updated themselves - they were on 6.1.0 and updated to 6.1.5 What is happening is that if the admin.php file and admin directory have already been updated, then using the admin update tool uploads /admin directory and admin.php again but not into the renamed directories. Obviously when doing a manual upgrade as I and Al always do, I upload all new files from the /admin distribution directly into the already renamed directory and likewise with the admin.php file
  5. CubeCart will use 4 as that is the default MySQL setting We set this one character lower on our servers
  6. Totally agree and have also done a lot without issues and also never use the upgrade tool but have cleaned up enough to think that there is a definite problem - there has also been at least one other thread on here about similar upgrade problems Ian
  7. Minority maybe, but I have had at least three users where this has happened although for most it works fine. One was a manual upgrade where they used FTP and simply uploaded everything from the zip file as is so they had /admin_XXXXXX and /admin and admin_XXXXXX.php and admin.php before running setup ! However the last one I had to sort out was done through the automated update tool by the store owner. I had already opened a github issue several weeks ago which you closed
  8. If you did a manual upgrade on a V6 site that already had the admin directory and the admin.php file changed, then you cannot simply upload the whole zip file as that obviously creates a new admin directory and new admin.php file (which are the new versions and you wil still be running the old versions in your renamed file and folder !) You MUST manually upload over the admin_XXXXXX.php and also the admin files and folders into your renamed admin directory ! Ian
  9. We do a lot of payment gateway integrations, including some custom ones, and would be interested if you have a suitable budget - developing and testing a gateway is not a trivial task ! By all means drop me a PM on here or contact me via our website but be warned, they dont come cheap Ian
  10. Our enhanced sorting module allows you to choose to display the most expensive shipping option by default although doesnt allow (at the moment) to choose "Please select" although that might be a nice addition at some stage. Obviously you get a huge amount of additional functionality in addition to the ability to sort the shipping !
  11. Doing what you are asking to do wouldn't solve that issue. The way to prevent 404 and loss of SEO link juice is to create 301 redirect directives from the old URL to the new URL - this is done within your .htaccess file Ian
  12. @Christopher Short can you tell us why you need these seo urls to be immediately generated ? Unless you have a reason that the rest of us are unaware of, we are struggling to understand why you would need this ? Ian
  13. We have a limit on most servers of 256 MB per process and dont limit the total account - cheap hosting companies do things like this so they can squeeze more accounts on each server ! There is still no guarantee that you wont hit memory issues (although I cant remember the last time anyone reported an issue when hosted with us) especially if processing HUGE images taken straight from a modern large pixel camera. If you would like to chat about moving across then happy to do so off the forums
  14. If the 512 MB was a PHP limit, then that is per process and 512MB is very big for a shared hosting company (most offer 32 MB or maybe up to 64 MB or at a push 128 MB) but they have said they dont limit that (-1 value). However, they have additional limits per account, so that would be a total of 512 MB of RAM available for ALL processes - get a few customers on your site and then you doing a memory intensive operation like loading and processing large images, then that will very quickly be reached !! Ian
  15. You can have as many as you want - simply edit the homepage document in source mode and add additional lines for each extra image Ian
  16. The logo almost certainly has a relative path and so will show while you are logged into the store but when it is trying to be shown in an email external to your server, the url is not complete and so makes no sense. Check the source of the template and enter an absolute url with either http:// or https:// (depending on whether you have an SSL ?) and the full path to where the image is located Ian
  17. Simply use FTP or File Manager in your hosting control panel and go to the top level of the store and look to see what name the admin.php file has been renamed to - it will be admin_XXXXXX.php where the six X are a random set of characters Ian
  18. That is an interesting idea - maybe something we can discuss offline ?
  19. I agree with this - we see it a lot and it is getting worse as even basic cameras are getting better and better (read more massive images). We see people trying to upload 5 MB, 10 MB, 20 MB sized images and while the settings on our hosting servers are much higher than almost every other company, GD does start complaining at these massive sizes
  20. You are correct that suhosin, if installed, has additional settings and some that over ride standard php settings. The settings for memory that we are talking about here are generally set at the same value - on that server where you have recently opened an account, there was indeed a mismatch (although the correct setting of 256 MB would still be available) and that has been corrected.
  21. If you are interested in moving your sites, I would be happy to move them all for you for no extra charge. We have moved a lot from hostgator including DB and also several clients with reseller accounts, when the problems they were having with hostgator got too much. We offer individual E-Commerce accounts on servers especially tuned for CubeCart (highly tuned MySQL, Zend OpCache, Memcached and REDIS etc) plus offer free CubeCart support on these accounts and also have reseller accounts if you want to host multiple sites. Ian
  22. 14 MB is very tiny even by the standards of some of the stingy hosting companies out there these days ! Check the values for local and master memory_limit under php info option. It is very unlikely that you will be able to change the value as the hosting companies keep these values low so they can put more websites on each server Ian
  23. As Chris has just said, you can delete all installed languages apart from the one that you want and when there is only one installed, then the selector will not show on the site Ian
  24. I actually meant if you are already running PHP version 5.6.X then upgrading a minor point release doesnt change functionality but if you are running CubeCart 6 then there will be no problems Ian
  25. Hi Try a hard refresh in your browser (CTRL-F5 in most browsers) to reload all resources - this can often happen if you have recently upgraded and your browser has cached files. It is always useful to state what your website url is, so people can check for themselves as well Ian
