  1. Thanks so much for your reply. Devillion should give you a job as it seems you're the only person to ever offer support! I am running a third party banner module but other than a custom skin thats all and everything has been fine for the last month. ccshop is the shop database and oc1 is the database user. I've passed your comments over to my hosting support and i'll post back when i have a reply. Many thanks again :D
  2. All of a sudden today i've been getting this fatal error message as shown in the screenshot (I've abscured database name for security) attached. I've contacted my host and they say:
  3. As i was originally thinking i had been hacked i took a backup and one example contains: dowsing.30.jpg dowsing.50.jpg dowsing.116.jpg dowsing.120.jpg dowsing.138.jpg dowsing.270.jpg dowsing.580.jpg dowsing.600.jpg
  4. When i said it was two different versions of the same skin they are actually seperate skins, a two column version and a three column version of skin with the same name....Not like Kuroto with different stylesheets which may be why. I have no problem creating my own thumbnails. I did this with my V3 and subsequent V4 store but they only needed two images, a main and a thumb but for some reason the developers chose to ignore simplicity and instead have the system generate umpteen different images. Ignoring simplicity seems to be the phrase of the day when it comes to V5 lol
  5. Thanks for replying guys. Clearing the image cache got rid of them all for now. I know that sounds like the most obvious thing to do but i thought the /cache/ directory in the root was the only place any caching went on and thought the one in the /images/ directory was just weirdly named lol. I've actually been flitting between two versions of the same skin, trying to decide on which one to go for but i don't understand why it's neccessary for the system to create so many versions of an image instead of letting the code resize the image.
  6. Over the last few weeks since my new v5 site has gone online i've noticed my webhosting disk space rappidly running out. I couldn't understand what was causing this and thinking i'd been hacked i've gone through every directory looking for things that shouldn't be there and found lots of extra images being generated within /images/cache/ which has so far generated 20 different versions of each single image i upload so while i have uploaded 554 product images CubeCart seems to have generated 11080 images! Why is CubeCart doing this??
  7. Thank you very much for that but it's not working for me. Here's my code (I've removed references to Quantity Discounts and substituted "{$LANG.catalogue.out_of_stock_short}" with "Awaiting Stock":
  8. It seems at the moment if a product is out of stock you can either hide the buy button from that product which displays "Out of Stock" or allow out of stock purchases but then the product doesn't show any out of stock message. I would like to still allow out of stock purchases but still show that "Out of Stock" message so the customer is aware that the product is indeed awaiting stock. Do you know how i can do this please?
  9. bsmither to the rescue again. I don't know what would happen to this place if you weren't here lol. I've found the problem though and fixed it. It would seem that dispite my shop being setup for the UK it isn't using the UK templates for some reason but instead is using the USA translation. What i don't understand is why if CubeCart's email template system isn't capable of using the shop's default country settings then why there is seperate UK / USA templates? If that's the case then surely it would make sense to just have an English Language template. :errm:
  10. I've edited both the Order Confirmation and Order Complete email templates but dispite my edits saving in the backend these edit's aren't carrying over to the actual emails being sent out. Am i missing something somewhere??
  11. That fixed it! Thank you very much indeed xx Did you submit a bug report?
  12. Thanks so much for your reply. Your code and the code there is a little different. Currently it has: Should i just replace the whole thing with your code??
  13. Many thanks, i'll give that a try I'm guessing it's a bug then? Have you submitted a bug report? Sorry, i forgot to ask where exactly in products.export.inc.php should i add your code lol??
  14. I'm using Shipping by Weight with all products having a weight defined. In Google Merchant Center i've setup the shipping by weight but when i export a product feed in my cubecart admin and then load that into Google it comes back with an error saying all products missing a shipping weight. Has anyone else run in to this problem? Am i missing something or should i report a bug?
  15. My hosting support sorted it out. For anyone else follow the instructions at https://support.cube...-weight-module/ and just ignore the other tabs :)
  16. I'm trying to setup Shipping by Weight but am a bit confused...I need to have 1 shipping method for the UK, 1 for Europe and 1 for everywhere else. Where do i get the 'country codes' from? Do i need to add all the countries on "Allowed Zones? Many thanks :)
  17. I'm having exactly the same problem since upgrading to 5.1.4. If you click on Add to Basket from a category page and the product has options then it strips the .html from the url and produces a 404 error. I've checked my skin /js/ folder and compared script.js to the default skins and it's the same and as i'm using a customised skin i always do a manual upgrade using the file difference report. There is a bug report for this which as added ages ago and no official replies.
  18. There was an annoucement but it was then deleted but the download is now 5.1.2.2
  19. Apology not neccessary Al but thanks again, i'm sure this will make a massive difference to thousands of V5 shop owners :cat:
  20. CubeCart is 'opensource' too in the sense that 99% of the code is not encoded, thus allowing developers to build modifications but the majority of the documentation has been provided by the developer, not the community although obviously the community have contributed over the years as have the CubeCart community. Although even that is quite basic Al with some things missing. Fantastic thank you! :yeahhh:
  21. We've all been demanding a userguide since the release of V4 and i'm sure i read someone that there would be a developer guide for V5, none of which have appeared to date. I do believe it is the developers responsibility to provide a comprehensive userguide for their commercial software. I'm not a developer, just one of the thousands of license payers. Until Devillion include more professional templates most of us have to modify one of the existing ones to give our shops a more professional look so whenever a there's a new release we have to take time out of managing our business to perform manual upgrades which is much easier when a file difference report is provided. May be i'm just old fashioned in believing when you pay for commercial software you expect there to be extensive documentation to go with it! I've had my shop since V3, upgraded to V4 but when V5 was released and i found it had been completely rebuilt, including a different template system i was put off the idea of upgrading as i didn't want to take the time out of running my business to learn a new templating system to integrate my current design. Before upgrading to V5 i played with OpenCart and CS-Cart and both were frankly more professional solutions, both have extensive documentation including developer documentation and OpenCart is a free opensource cart! The only reason i conceeded to stick with CubeCart was simply the extra work involved in moving everything over but the most important thing in both of those examples is that they have extensive documentation provided by the developers, not their customers, even the FREE option! So in short i do believe it is the developers responsibility, more so when you have to pay a license fee to use it!
  22. I know and i'm sure there are thousands of grateful cubecarters but isn't it really the responsibility of the software developers?
  23. I'm just wondering what's happened to the file difference reports that were provided upon new releases? You've provided them for every one up until 5.1.1 and now nothing again for 5.1.2. These make such a difference for those of us who have customised our skin and without them it's a nightmare having to go through all the code to find the changes. Can we have them back please?
