  1. Hi all, Updated site to 5.2.2 and suddenly started to get lots of spam reviews, as the client is not really interested in reviews, I would like to turn them off. I have searched store settings and can't see anything relating to product reviews, either turning them off or on. Am I missing something or looking in the wrong place? TIA Tim
  2. It worked! This is the way that I did it: 1 - backup the database - I used Cubecart's own backup utility and did a second backup using Cpanel. 2 - backup the entire site - I used Cpanel but any backend site admin tool should be able to do this. 3 - FTP'd the unzipped 5.2.2 downloaded files to public_html on the server 4 - Opened a browser and navigated to the setup directory and ran setup.php 5 - answered the questions 6 - waited approximately 30 seconds and the job was done. I wish that the people who write programs would take into account that we aren't all doing this stuff all day long. I also wish that Devillion would take out the built in Upgrade option from Cubecart - in my experience it doesn't do the job properly. This has cost me about 6 hours work and a great deal of frustration. Much as I like Cubecart I do find that the the lack of good documentation is a real weakness with the product. Anyway I hope this helps someone else. Tim
  3. Hi Thinks I have it sussed now - for anyone else the instructions are NOT in the DOCS folder but in the readme file in the root of the zip file. I am uploading the files now and will come back to report if it all works when it's done. Tim

  5. Hi all, Can someone kindly tell me how to upgrade from 5.2.1 to 5.2.2 without screwing up the database. I have tried using the built-in upgrade system but it doesn't seem to work properly. I have searched the Cubecart site and I have to say that the instructions I have found are not, in my opinion, very clear. I am pretty computer literate and am used to hacking my way around using Cpanel, ftp and so on but this one has me baffled. Any help gratefully received. Thanks Tim
  6. Hi, Now done a clean install of 5.2.2 and I can now see the priority column in both tables. However when I import the database from 5.2.1 the priority column is deleted which I think is to be expected. What I need to know now is either how to insert the column in the 2 tables or restore the database without removing the priority columns. I appreciate you help - thanks. Tim
  7. Hi Thanks for looking at this. I used the built in upgrade option - reading between the lines I guess that was not the best way to do it? I am familiar with phpMyAdmin and I cannot find the column 'priority;. I can find it in CubeCart_options_set_member. I will try installing the upgrade manually and restoring (importing) the database from 5.2.1 and come back and let you know if it works. Thanks Tim
  8. Upgraded to 5.2.2 this morning and now have some real issues with the product attributes. I spent hours working out a way or sorting the product attributes to sort the way that I need them for my client's shop. He sells fishing tackle and lots of products have numerical options, e.g. 1,2,3,4, etc. Now that I have installed 5.2.2 the attributes are displayed completely out or order and I cannot see any logic to the way they are now displayed. Not a problem thought I because 5.2.2 has added a custom sort option. Spent an hour trying to get the new feature to work. Click on an option and drag it - works fine, everything sorted the way I want it until I save, then it just reverts to the way it was! Created a new Option Group and added 3 options. Tried to change the order of them. No joy - as soon as I save the new order, it just reverts to the way they were. Tried using IE8 on XP Pro SP3, IE10 on Win7 SP1, Chrome on XP Pro SP3 and Win7 SP1. Am I doing something wrong? Have I misunderstood how to do it? Anyone any ideas what is going on? Tim
  9. Logged on to my Cubecart shop today and saw the message that 5.2.2 is released and that I should upgrade. Did a full site backup and a database back and the clicked on the UPGRADE button. Things went quiet for a while and then I saw the following message: ************************ Ugrade to Latest Version Your store is currently using the latest version. Please click force upgrade to restore to the default code for this version. Force Upgrade ************************ I don't understand this - what am I supposed to do (if anything)? Tim

  11. Thanks to everyone who looked at this but I've now realised that this isn't an issue - so used to working the OS Commerce way that I wasn't expecting CC to work the way that it does. Regards Tim
  12. Hi Is there a way to set the attribute order? In other words, if I have attributes of 1, 2, 3, 4 , 5, 6 and I enter them in this order: 2,1, 5, 3,4,6 can I get them to display as 1,2,3,4,5,6? Before someone asks 'why not put them in in the correct order in the first place', it isn't always possible to know that you might need an 'out of order' one in the future. Thanks Tim

  14. It's quite a nice design but it took 30 seconds to load the front page on my 12meg connection - that isn't good in my opinion. The only other comment I have is to ask 'where the f*** is the airfield?' To me it should be one of the first things you tell your potential punters and I had to trawl and trawl until I finally found a pretty useless may - because you have it too highly magnified! and an addess.
