Nota looks for a good website but not sure how to tackle crosshatch. Hi Tried to find where "Faire du shopping par catégorie" was in the files was but was unable to find the phase to change it.It did appear in Languages section of Admin - Navigation - phrases Edit Phrases pressed the revert button and it went into English and unable to revert it back to french, Tried Compress file to have a look at the file and not to just export it and Selected this to enable file compression I am using Google chrome it wiped out the website the only thing showing was the Favicon icon Had to go back into files and exported/deleted the compressed file and the website was back on line. Altered the German just to Nach Kategorie and without changing the css file line 156 and It works fine. You do get stuck in German someone in the forum was stuck in German. Work the software clear the cookies/catch etc and it begins to work fine. While deleting the compressed files started to panic to get the website back on line reasons unknown I deleted the 2 french xml files as well. I feel that Cubecart must bring out a book/leaflet with more tips and help. There are not many other websites that have the translations on Like like to thank every one for their help in this forum we learned a lot about how cc5 and languages work. Johnc Its only the Italian one I am after the 2 xml files that are not in cc5

Hi Not sure about altering css file just put in a translation tried to find out where <a href="http://www.perfumevaljc.com/index.php" title="Page d'accueil">Page d'accueil</a> was but unable to find it to change Page d'accuell to Homepage like it is in Dutch. The fun thing is the Spanish one seems to be the only one working well with the dutch same spelling johnC Also <a href="http://www.perfumevaljc.com/index.php" title="Startseite">Startseite</a> There must be something in the code somewhere for Spanish to work but French and German not got it.

Hi cc5 works very well The way it works but somethings do not work as well as expected but you can work around this. ie Pictures on on document pages can be awkward as it optimizes pictures for web speed and can degrade quality if you are not careful. We have had lots of help from the cubecart people on the upgrade and for the real tech problems. You will be well pleased with cc5 and if you except its limitations it a terrific piece of software. Strongly advise you to buy from new straight on to a new website and not upgrade form cc3 on your existing website if you have a good customer base on your existing one, because for us with out a customer base it has taken almost a month to get it working to how we want it and understand the way it works. PS We love the way cc3 works and would use it for another shop if only we could put in a payment gateway It does not support the gate way we would like to use. Johnc Valroma

Hi On the upgrade In the language folders I have the Italian folder But there is no "it.IT.xml" file or "email_it_IT.xml" are these files available yet or still being written.? The Languages I would like would be Danish (NO Folder names in the Language Folder) and Italian. Is the Danish not available yet or still being worked on. 2nd question when using the Languages I do have. Dutch French Spanish German I and this happens with them all and in all skins. Shop By Category (Menu) "Home page" is over written by the new language name for Home. English (Home) with the new language on top it looks a mess. How to solve this would be helpful. When you have Google asking to translate the page and you translate to English the Home tab looks perfect with just Home and the translation of Home on top. Thank you for your time JohnC

Hi WE upgraded to Cubecart 5 which is great. WE had CubCart 4 and used HSBC which worked fine in CC4 Then switch over to Barclay card in CC4 although we had to Put in the Module in, and it worked fine Just upgraded last Thursday 12th and up on the 13th tested Saturday payment module for 5 did not work . Tried many different things including new CPI with Barclay Question Has anyone Got Barclaycard ePDQ to work with CubecCart 5 and if so would be pleased to know how it was done. Thank you for your time JohnC Valjc Limited Would like to say it is that Barclaycard ePDQ is working fine now ​Its in the CPI Administration of Barclaycard that is the tricky bit One phone call to a level 2 person in Barclays and within half an hour working Great So have to say that Paypal and Barclaycard ePDQ works fine in Cubecart 5 and the return to shop page is a lot better than CC4

Hi I must be missing something on the Card capture did a test and can not find any details of the customers card to use it in our banks virtual terminal. "The credit card information can be viewed by viewing the customers order." Can not find anything Do I need to put in a mod or something to use the card capture payment method ? thank you for your time Johnc

Sorry John, this is just a stock template with a logo - so nothing to shout about. I actually prefer the V3 site to V4- and even the V3 site is pretty standard. To compete, you really need to invest in a great design to provide a professional look. If you have invested in a Merchant account, then it does show you're serious about trading online- so some investment in the right place will really help. Ideally, find a designer who can create cubecart templates. The best place would be cubecartforums.org - as you can view previous feedback. There are some "off-the-shelf" designs, and these will be good if you are on a tight budget - but get them to create/integrate a logo. If you check some of the other sites offered in this area, you'll see some great examples. The good news is that CubeCart has a fairly clean separation of layout to php code, and are fairly easy to customise templates - so a new template could be added very easily. I suggest you look at your competitors, and then at your current site. Even if you're lower priced, a bland design really won't inspire buyers, whereas a great design may allow you to increase prices! I hope this helps - sorry I can't be too positive over what you currently have. But do wish you all the best with the business!
