  1. Hmmmmm again, I'm not able to help, BUT that not being able to upgrade to 5.2.2 is cause for concern. Maybe there's a connection between the two issues. What exactly seemed to be the problem with trying to upgrade to 5.2.2?

    This happens with both Firefox and IE.

    I go to the site - it tells me to upgrade so I click on the link.  It tells you to create a backup, so i go to maintenance and click backup - it comes up with a message saying "Unable to Serve this Request.  Site temporarily unavailable.  Connection timed out - please try again".  When I log in again and go back to the maintenance page it shows the backup was succesful.  I then click on the upgrade link again, click upgrade and get "Unable to Serve this Request.  Site temporarily unavailable.  Connection timed out - please try again".

    This happends every time.  I also get logged out all of them time - I don't seem to be able to stop it logging me out (Cubecart support tell me they've extended it but I've seen no difference and I couldn't find out from them how to do it myself).

  2. Thanks - didn't think of versions etc.

    The images are in folders - I will try removing it from there.  They are standard JPEG images.

    I'm running v5.1.2 (because I can't get it to upgrade to 5.2.2).  It was a very unreliable upgrade from v3....

    Kraken - when I click the image icon and browse it still comes up blank.

  3. Can someone please give me a simple step by step guide to uploading images - I rarely seem to get it right!

    Initially I always opened up our FTP Software and loaded the already compressed image into images/sources.  It used to then appear in the admin side of the website for use.  Since "upgrading" I've been struggling.  I've tried uploading them through FTP, uploading them through the admin images page and doing both but it rarely seems to work.

    What's the duffers guide to uploading an image?

    Regards,

    Joe

  4. Having read various threads I made these changes and it does seem to have cleared a few problems up.

    At the bottom of both the admin pages and the store pages I now get a blueish grey box with script in, similar to this:

    PHP:

    No Errors or Warnings

    GET:

    '_g' => 'orders'

    'action' => 'edit'

    'order_id' => '120816-062047-2201'

    SESSION:

    '__client' =>

    'ip_address' => '86.138.74.23'

    'useragent' => 'Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:14.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/14.0.1'

    'session_start' => 1345195482

    'session_last' => 1345195491

    'currency' => 'GBP'

    'admin_id' => '1'

    '__system' =>

    'token' => 'fad1386a8121a76cdb18a6841c1ee47b'

    '__admin_data' =>

    'admin_id' => '1'

    'name' => 'Seddon And Black'

    'username' => 'seddonandblack'

    'email' => '[email protected]'

    'logins' => '1059'

    'super_user' => '1'

    'notes' => 'This user was setup during installation.'

    'browser' => 'Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:14.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/14.0.1'

    'ip_address' => '86.138.74.23'

    'failLevel' => '0'

    'blockTime' => '0'

    'lastTime' => '1345195410'

    'customer_id' => '0'

    'status' => '1'

    This is only half of it.

    Obviously I've done something wrong somewhere. Can someone advise what that may be and a possible solution? It doesn't look very good on the homepage etc!

    Thanks in advance.

    Joe
  5. All,

    A lot of what's been written here means next to nothing to me unfortunately. We have a live store which we upgraded to CC5(1.2?) - I've just sent an order out the door which must be there tomorrow (ordered last week and held back at the customers request) and I'm not even sure I've sent the right products now!

    Is the long and short of this that there isn't a fix at the moment? Do I need to take a screen dump until something's sorted?

    Joe

  6. The Filter is not a sort. The Product Inventory filter simply sends a page request (rather, it is supposed to) that asks for a list of all products that fall under the chosen category's category_id. The list returned is supposed to be only those products assigned to the selected category as their primary category. (But that seems to be broken as well. Products not assigned to some chosen categories, as their primary category, still appear in the list.)

    Thanks for your fix on the drop down menu filter. Works a treat as far as I can see.

    I don't know whether I'm going daft here, but I can see how to change the order the products within a category appear using the product code etc, but is it possible to sort them how I want them? We have a number of products which need to be listed in size order and I can't figure out how to do it.

  7. I know this has been discussed in a seperate thread, which was moved from a "hi-jacked" thread - it just doesn;t say where it was moved to and I can't find it.

    I'm wanting to ship an order but I can't see what the customer has ordered. There's nothing in the product names etc, just the total.

    How can I find out what he's ordered?

  8. Thanks guys. More problems seem to keep cropping up (such as when I click products and try and filter it by clicking on a category in the drop down menu, it does nothing, so I can't filter by category!!).

    Comment below has been moved to its own thread - http://forums.cubecart.com/topic/46198-issues-with-mobile-skin/

    Have you noticed that if you try to view the "inventory" of an order on a mobile (mine's android) you can't see the product? Not very helpful!
  9. We're about to move to Sage Accounts and Sage Pay. We need each individual product variation (such as engine oil 5 litres and engine oil 25 litres) to have a seperate product code for automatic invoicing.

    I can't see a way of doing this in CubeCart. We're running one of Estelle's mods for easy editing of product options, and I'm awaiting a reply to the question from there, but wondered if there's a way of doing it within Cubecart itself?

    Thanks,

    Joe

  10. Our couriers have recently changed how we ship to some countries. It is based on both weight and physical dimensions.

    I'm sure I've seen it somewhere that you can input the dimensions of the products but I can't find it anywhere. I'm using Estelle's All In One Shipping module if that makes any difference?

    Thanks in advance.

    Joe

  11. We have a number of products with different options, running off a 3rd party module.

    On a daft example -

    Wotsit A - length 10cm £15.00, 20cm £20.00 or 30cm £25.00.

    On the "front page" of the products you see £15.00 - so is there a way of showing "prices from £15.00" instead?

    Thanks in advance!
