  1. It is a one time payment. Your license does not expire. I made a bad choice of words when I said the license key has expired. It hasn't.

     

    However, CubeCart checks for the validity of the license on a regular basis -- comparing the domain you say the license is for vs. the domain the store is currently answering to.

     

    If CubeCart cannot verify the domain the license is for, there is a grace period (I don't know for how long). I have no information of whether or not CubeCart informs you that the grace period is about to expire.

     

    Download the latest CC5 version. That would be 5.2.16. Copy just these files over the existing files:

    index.php

    admin.php

    i do not how to do this stuff, all i know is i lost everything! 

    ok, i got lucky , i copied the old license # and pasted in the general settings, where license # goes, and voila!  everything is back to normal now.

  2. Somehow, your installation of CubeCart (probably) has not been able to communicate with the CubeCart license servers. (Probably) The license key has expired.

     

    I can't help you with this, but you will given excellent advice to upgrade to CC5216. CC5216 is licensed under GPLv3. That means free as in "free beer" (but not so much "freedom").

    i was pretty sure when i bought my license it was a one time fee.  I cant believe this happened with no email or anything?  who do i contact to help me?  i cannot seem to contact the techs.

Hi, i went to login to my admin today and on my admin it showed my license key, and wanted me to login and leave blank to use free cubecart software.  So i did not know what to do, so i left blank, and it logged me in, my whole site is blank, error 404, please help!!  I cannot seem to connect to Cubecart Tech through the usual source.

    ps. - i did switch my domain provider recently but that is it!  I have the same hoster.

    I do not kow what to do , i cannot access my site, please help, im a noob!

  4. To delete your setup folder - 2 easy choices:

     

    Use an FTP Client to open your store folders, so you can delete it.

     

    Use cpanel File Manager to open the store folders and delete it.

     

    As for emailing everyone - I use a commercial mod for that, so I can't help with how to do it from within CC. You can export your email list, if you have a way to send to a mailing list with your own email program.

    can you please provide me some info. in detail?  i do not know how to export the customer email list.

  5. Hi, i figured out how to make a coupon code, that was easy.  Now because i am a noober, i have no idea how to send this code to all my registered customers. 

    How do i make a file of all the email addresses and send this code out to them?

    PS - i just updated my store with the auto update and it worked!! yea!!  that really helps for noobs like myself, very easy!

    i just dont know how to delete my setup folder?

  6. I've posted a bug report on USPS twice now - once resolved - then broken again, but no joy so far. I'm stuck with By_Weight which does not give customers any delivery speed options. With Christmas toy buying season on its way this is bad for us.

    i got latest version, how do i just charge a flat rate for shipping?  I can only get UPS to work

    OK, in lieu of the recent USPS changes, our store would like to offer two simple flat prices for our products. Right now we sell one book, we are a small start-up publisher, and will add new books in the future.

     

    I've tried to set it up in the Shipping Methods module, but I can't seem to achieve what I am wanting to do. Currently we are setup under the existing USPS shipping module.

     

    For US orders:

    I want the US address shipping cost of $6 Flat rate for 1 book, any zip code.

    I would like to add a $2.50 bump for each book of 2 or more. (2 books is $6 + $2.50, 3 books is $6 + $5, etc.)

     

    For International orders:

    I want an International Flat Rate shipping cost of $18 (any country/one book)

    I would like to add a $8 bump for each book 2 or more. Same setup, just for International.

     

    Any thoughts? I understand how to set one overall price for everything, but how do I set up a system for two unique scenarios governed by location (US & International)? The carrier is not important to the customer, but will likely still use USPS on the back end.

    I dont think we can do this, i posted days ago and the moderator didnt give me a straight answer.  All i want to do is charge a flat rate figure for every order, cant get much simpler than that.  Using UPS sucks, it is always way off with the ridiculous weights i have to enter, the weights arent even close.

  8. I don't use flat rate boxes, but do you have any other USPS choices marked besides the flat rate one? Do you have any other shipping choices in use?

     

    Please create your signature with version information and upgrade or clean install situation. Info on your server may not be a factor in solving this issue, but please include it as well.

     

    I have latest version, i want to use a flat rate price for shipping.  I had USPS checkmarked and flat rate checked with amt. filled in, it never added it up.  How do i do this for a flat rate?

  9. Correct me if I'm wrong, but when I visit my CubeCart account at cp.cubecart.com, in the Dashboard, I can see a list of my license keys. See what happens when you 'unlock' yours (if it's not already).

    thank you for your help bsmither!! I did that and also copy and pasted the key in my admin under i think general settings.

    If you hadent told me that i would still be clueless with this.

  10. I was using a free trial version of cc5 and got a message today stating my customer base was full so i could not access my admin. Finally after countless emails between me and CSR Bill Wheeler i knew what had to be done, pay for a software license. He knew how worried i was about getting into the admin to make some major changes today. So i pd. the $144 for the software license.

    Bill emailed me back acknowledging payment and my site is still not accessible and i do not have a software key!!

    I still cannot enter my admin 6 hrs. after payment and i do not have a software license key to enter.

    Anyone else have problems with the lack of customer service??

    I am sorry for being a complete noob about this stuff, but i feel Bill is very unprofessional and lacks quality customer service!!

    Anyone else have any issues with customer service?

    I mean c'mon the guy knew how important getting into my admin was and i was completely disrespected.

  11. Hi, i recently changed my email adress and i am not receiving payments to my new email. I changed my email address in the gateways section under paypal. I am doing the standard and just clicked the edit config tab. I also changed the new email with my server. Is there any way i can test this? The last 4 payments went to my old paypal email which is lost in space.

    Did you also change your address in:

    Admin > General Settings

    the email in general settings is my info@ email. This stayed the same, and all mail is forwarded to my new email through my hosting site. I do not see a spot for my regular email adress in general settings.
