    The Error codes that this hands back some times in the trans logs were do they get generated from pay pals end ?

    the payments all go through ok i just dont like errors

    Address: confirmed
    Payer Status: verified Recipient account didn't match specified PayPal account.

    ive searched there api error list and cant find it

    I been thinking 

    MrB are there hooks that we can tap into so we can send deferent emails from the OR and OC

    one email address  for one (OR)  and a 2nd email address for the other (OC)?

    Hers a good one for you MrB

    Ok i have a customer that does not want all email sent to him 

    When a sale has been entered 

    1st email is an order (Order Received)

    2nd email is confirmation of payment (unless POF is used) (Order Confirmation)

    the customer does not want to receive NO1 the first email (Order Received) is there any way of just stopping that being triggered to send 

    he just wants the Order Confirmation email

    prob is he dont want to manage from back end he wants to just do it of emails

    As we did our own theme and these are from b4 v6.2 (6.12)(we are on 6.2 now )

    i get that i cant join some together as they need to load in a certain order 

    couple Q's 

    have they been changed now the 6.2 is up and running ? do i need to update any? (store is working ok )

    Can I recompress to get better savings ( i know in not gaining a lot but i get some thing)

    Can any be added to another ?  just curious

    Not a bug but ? think it also should be added to email templates by default or included in marcos (bare min) to stop a failure point

    didn't know to put here or GHub

    Question : in print.receipt.php from templates line 124 you have this line of code (at bottom)- this gets shown on check out and when customer wants to print a  copy

    The only other place this is shown is in orders summary in back end, i think least it would be good if added to the email template marco's so if someone wanted to 

    add it  to a template would be good  eg: Customer Comments: {$DATA.customer_comments} I think - the least of the scenarios that should be available 

    The emails that go to the Store owner and customer DON'T have this info on those emails,  so if a mistake was made, it's never picked up.

    We send every other piece of info of the sale, why not the comments by default 

    The average joe store owner does not even have to code to add if they wanted it to the templates,  it's not even listed into the available marco's

    So i know your answer:

    but it is in the order summary & print receipt "yes it is" but only if the store owner/customer checks it and i would not write this if it never happened - i have 4 stores i look after

    3 of the store are managed of emails only and do not log into back end - it works 

    If an order is placed and a store owner goes of an email were customer puts wrong info in "but, puts special instructions in the comment section", nether customer or store owner never ever gets to see the comments from that time on down the chain, I think if a email was going out it least should have it in by default. it covers both side of the coin

    Numbering Order / Product Order

    What am i not getting here ???

     

    Settings / Layout / layout settings 

    Im using the UPC Code field to number and sort products, but doing weird stuff  

    eg: all use ASC

    1 to 99 works 

    1 to 101 fails

    100 and 101 come first then starts at 1 to 99  

    if you guys are doing some weird logic what is it ill just work with that

    I have found that even if you go to Softaculous install it also fails; Ill raise a ticket and give you full access

    so you can try if you want  

    I have created a new install and just need to move my stuff to a server where it will break

    Ill get back to you tomorrow with details

    Australian Site Tax Settings

    i run 3 shops for people and i find in products we choose 

    Tax class "Standard" set up with 10%

    and 

    Tax included OFF 

    see attached image and we also added some code to main.php page to say 

    "All Products are ex GST

    GST added at Check Out"

    The other store is we add tax included but turn off so there is zero rate 

    that store dont care as every thing has GST included

    PHP "Magic Quotes"

    Hey guys (Mr Al and MrB) 

    I have found in last couple days with 3 CC Stores 5.27 - that if the server dude has turned of "Magic Quotes" it gives blank screens 

    his reasoning for this is security, we have sorted this but just moving the 3 stores to where they are turned on - easy fix

    but was more to let you guys know what we found 

    As i have no idea what it all means other than work for me $$$$ - but the server dude is saying MQ is deprecated.

    Hooking into Cart back end - Shipping module

    this is what i got from my mate that is writing a shipping plugin here for TNT transport in Australia

     

    "Also I am looking at my version of the cube cart and I cannot find anywhere to add in the length of the product along with width and height. My version is the lite version and am wondering whether this facility only exists in the production version?"

     

    do both operate the same ?

     

    The product sold needs or would love to have Length added as its part of the shipping / pricing issue and we need to add a extra cost on a product over 5.2 meters

    Also even in admin / product why not have HWD fields ? or are they treating weight as " dim-weight "

    i did the mod and a quick test - it works ok and allows to 1 dec point "Awesome"

    That would be an awesome feature to add to the wish-list of features

     

    I can see how a lot would not use that (you cant sell 1/2 of a lot of items - a TV)

    and the same time the customer in this case would not be doing gift certs for chrome moly tubing

    but has now totally changed how they can sell for all tube stock less than 1m lengths 

     

    I know they would of paid for a feature like that

    In the shop set up the customer sells chrome molly steel 

    they do most sales as per " 1 metre as 1 in the cart " for tube/rod ect  (300 items)

     

    to keep consistent the big ticket steel items are some at times sold in cm lengths 10cm would equate to 0.1

     

    we have found that doing that from the product page does not get passed onto the cart when

    if you insert 0.1 and view cart it goes to 1 

     

    looking at cart BUT you can ten change and apply 0.1 in the cart  and it changes the pricing correctly 

     

    so knowing that, is that a bug? as the cart does recognize less than 1 so i guess that's correct

    if not is the a hack to make product page do it? (less than 1 values )

    For some reason no matter the setting the price seams to be only showing about 96% of true price stated 

    $10 shows as $9.64

    I have tried with all on some on some off 

    i have created a tax class 

    it just want to display price minus some figure

    We even went to a shop that worked and copied every setting the same and still no good
