  1. OK - I have managed to get two through by them using paypal express rather than paypal pro so far... will update once I have more information and will stick a ticket in if required.. Thanks for the prompt responses.
  2. Well I guess that got rid of me for a couple of days:-) I have upgraded the site to the latest release and all went OK. I got some buyers that had problems to delete their orders and place again. Exactly the same problem occurred and they can not pay for their orders. Any other ideas or other information I could provide to try and track this down as causing a real headache now...
  3. Thank you for the information. I can't see anything on the upgrade notes related to this, but maybe I am missing something. Unfortunately I have lost some sales because of this.
  4. Hi - I have just started to notice loads of these coming up. Whilst some are going through OK - any help appreciated and where to start looking... When you look at the orders they look fine... 5. Just in case anyone finds this on here - @Dirty Butter was right and there is an option to enable the basket during checkout. When enabled and in the process of checking out you can click on the basket and review and continue again. So brilliant and fixes my problem. You go to the fusion>general settings form and switch on basket during checkout.
  6. Thanks @bsmither it would seem my issues are more to do with choice of skin than the underlying engine of cubecart. I think I am registered already for the 3rd party forum just need to remember my login:-) Thanks @Dirty Butter too.. Agree.
  7. Hi - thanks for the info. I have add the skin to my signature. My clients experienced this as guests rather than when registered and logged in, so I tested as a guest. I see what you are saying, but wouldn't normal behaviour once i have added additional items to my basket to view it and then recommence with the check out? Especially if I have clicked the View Basket button rather than the checkout button? You are right I got as far as putting a billing address in so the system is probably working as designed, but just does not seem right not to let you start over from the basket again. Anyway thanks for your help and comments.
  8. Hi thanks for that - I made the change and that works fine now. Is there a way I can move this to the right thread? Thanks for your help on this - looks much better. Cheers
  9. Thanks - I think it is been there on previous releases, but as business is picking up it is getting noticed more. I am using Blueprint as you probably know. Maybe just the skin as the columns around the wrong way? Cheers
  10. I have found on my set-up that I can get in a loop. If you start to check out and get as far as the billing information and then decide you want to buy something else. You go and add your item to the basket and on the right ( in my case) I can view the basket or checkout. If I select view the basket it always takes me to checkout and there seems no way of getting back to the basket and stopping the check out process. Any one else found this issue or knows how to fix it or can explain what I am doing wrong? Thanks in advance.
  11. I have notice the price and unit price are the wrong way around in the basket. The totals are correct, but a few clients have pointed it out. Anyone else come across this? See picture...
  12. I have got various independent people working to increase sales on my shop. I want to give each of them a different url (or something) so that when I get a sale I can attribute the sale to them and then pay commissions etc. Obviously there is an affiliate option for the larger companies - so my questions are: Can I created my own affiliate option for each sales person? Is there another way of doing this in cubecart that I am missing? All suggestions and help welcome. Thank you in advance.
  13. Hi - just wanted to confirm that I added the switch statement to line 40 in my mailer.class.php and set up cubecart to use port 465 for SSL it works a treat! Thank you so much for the clear instructions. I assume I will have to keep changing on every upgrade? Thank you!
  14. Great - thanks for the information - I will give it a try and get back with results. Cheers
  15. My store has been using the mail on the server and send email, but they always end up in peoples SPAM folder and I have tried everything - google are investigating for me, but I thought in the meantime I would set up my cart to use the remote smtp gmail server to get around this for now. I have the following setting: smtp.gmail.com 465 Port SSL set on User name - my email address and password. All fine and these setting work fine on other products. But in cubecart no emails ar sent. As far as I am aware all the ports are open to be used. Any suggestions or at least someone saying they have this working on their server would be very encouraging. 16. Was there ever a fix for this... I have tracked this down now to when you have a guest user and they use the checkout button rather than the paypal express option (paypal yellow button). They register go through all the options and then it comes back with: Please check that the defined shipping method is suitable and click "Checkout" to continue to payment" As it happens if you do go through and continue it works perfectly. I can recreate this every time. Obviously once you exist as a user and go to order there are no problems. The problem is that my customers have gone elsewhere by then as they feel like they have already paid and do not want to pay twice. I am using cubcart 5.1.3 at the moment and soon to go up to 5.1.4 to see if it is fixed.
  17. You are correct that database is correct as if you view the address before editing the country and state they are correct. As far as I can see it is just ignoring the country and state in the database and using your country of the store to default the country and state fields when editing. Cheers - at least I know I am not alone:-)
  18. OK - this is my first new post so here goes! I am running, cubecart 5.1.4 and noticed that when I edit a customer address of an existing client the country and state seem default to my country and the first state rather than the country and state of the address I am editing. Anyone else come across this and found a fix or is there something odd with my set-up. It does the same on all clients from any country. www.zipnfc.com
  19. Not to worry - I give the impression of being big, but am very small! Well in business size anyway. The company I use for all my sites and she is a good friend is Helen at www.mousewillplay.co.uk. She has many examples of sites she has done and is very reasonable indeed. Your business looks really Interesting too.
  20. A lot of frigging to be honest I believe. My web designer did it by playing about with the headers used by cubecart. I have to say at this point it was my goal to have one domain for SEO optimisation rather than two, but not sure how well that works and I might end up having a separate domain for the shop in the end as most of my customers are end users with NFC phones and they really are not that interested in the business side of ZipNFC. If you want more information happy to get my web designer Helen to provide you some more info on how it is done. She has done some interesting things with WP and cubecart. My other business site is www.adworldit.com but this is using the blakesley theme. Cheers for the feedback
  21. Nice post and great help - the rewritebase fixed my problem too! My site is www.zipnfc.com and I have /site for a wordpress business info and /shop for the online store. We then did a lot of work to merge so that whether you are in WP or Cubecart it looks the same. Thanks again as this fixed my problem when I moved from a shared host to a VPS environment.
  22. I have played with options, but it was the shipping that needs to be different for a Reel, Box or Strip... and then different again for local and international..
  23. I am new to cube cart and seems to have found an issue with using shipping by category. The two issues I am experiencing are: Background Site is www.zipnfc.com/shop I am using 5.1.1 cubecart I have set-up category of example Tags as the main and sub categories of Strip, Reel and Box. The reason for this is so I can apply different shipping costs to sending a strip, a reel or a box - could not see another easy way of doing this. I have selected the Shipping by category method and have no zone restrictions. Local is seen as GB and INternational I kept blank as I assumed it would default to everything other than GB! Each category has shipping rates set-up for local and international I have attached a screen shot of the category tags/reel and view basket which shows it coming up as zero! International I have found when signed in a an international user when I view the basket there are no shipping costs. Even though on the subcategory I have shipping costs set up for local and international shipping. I tried pointing the product to a main category incase the issue was picking up shipping for a sub category - but no joy. When I log in as a local user the shipping cost appear apart from the issue raised below which is a bit odd. Primary category vs other categories with regard to shipping I assumed that if I have product that belongs to multiple categories that the shipping by category would be taken from the one I have selected as the primary. It looks like it works by which ever category you are in when you select the product, which is not ideal. Can someone explain how this is meant to work or have I found a bug? Thanks in advance, Chris.
