1. We are using the "By Weight" option. This means all items sent 1st Class are sent via Royal Mail 1st Class (UK) or Airmail( outside UK) and 2nd Class is 2nd Class UK and Surface Mail (outside the UK).

However, we also use iPostParcels for larger shipments and we can find no way on including this as an option.

Can this be combined with the "All In One Shipping" option? Would that help?

  2. Can anybody please help with this? Sorting shipping by the cheapest first is causing problems as customers are automatically using the cheapest which is surface mail with takes a month or longer to arrive.

I did what was suggested above but it didn't sort First Class/Airmail as the main shipping option, which is what we need by default.

  3. Is there a way to select whereby VAT is applicable to products and shipping. Example.

    1. Books = no VAT on book or shipping

    2. DVD = VAT on product and shipping

    3. Book and DVD = no VAT on book but VAT on DVD and partial VAT on shipping

This is as per UK customs and excise, and I can find no way of setting this up properly.

  4. We currently have our old eCommerce site up and running on a .com domain.

To get our new Cubecart site up and running, we registered a .co.uk version of the same name with a different host and have built the new site there. Our intention is to point the .com domain to the new .co.uk store when it goes live. We did this because we didn't want to interfere with the original store which is still up and running.

Is this the best way of doing it, or should we actually transfer the .com to the new hosting company so the new site has both .com and .co.uk domains?

I ask because it's getting a bit confusing when buying mods and they ask for a domain name. The site is best known under its .com name, and that's how it is referred to in all our publications. The .co.uk was a temporary measure to get the new site up and running.

  5. Is anybody else with Heart Internet? We signed up with them as they are a Cubecart affiliate. We've had nothing but problems with the site going down, and loading very slowly. we're obviously very concerned as the site is about to go live.

  6. Thanks for this - it now lists "Please Select" rather than defaulting to 2nd Class, but the user now gets this message:

    The following errors were detected:
    • Unfortunately there are no suitable shipping methods available for your order. This may be because the total weight of your order is too high or we cannot ship to your country. Please contact a member of our staff for any further inquiries.

Is there a way to default it to First Class?

  7. Is there any way of changing the order in which the postage prices are displayed for customers?

Although 1st Class is the first option in admin, 2nd Class is above 1st Class in the drop down menu.

Can we make 1st class the default option rather than 2nd?

  8. The minimum would most likely be a metre of fabric. Their current site has a drop-down length selector, from 1m to 1m, in half a metre increments.

If I knew this was possible with Cubecart it would solve a lot of headaches.
