Display product image on home page with no link to item?
vidmarc replied to vidmarc's topic in Technical Help
Thanks for the suggestion. However, I'd still like to find a way of having these upcoming items listed on the home page, above the in-stock products, so that these images can take advantage of the home page grid layout, rather than having to use the document option which doesn't work well when the home page is re-sized. -
Just a thought - that way, we could list upcoming items for which we do not have the full details, and adding to cart before we have set a price. This would then allow the product images to fit within the template grid, without having to resort to using a document set-up.

Thanks for the link - do I just add this to the link in question? Or is this just for a pop-up?

We have a link set up on the navigation bar which takes you to an external site. Would it be possible to open this link in a frame, thus keeping the customer on our website? Example: https://nucleusfilms.com (link = Digital)

This would be a nice addition to the basic Cubecart settings.

Is there a setting somewhere to enable adding an SSL logo?
-
Thanks Al. Can you help with this one?

I've now changed our site to SSL, but when activated the browser shows an alert indicating that parts of the site (images etc) are not secure. How do I fix this? Thanks.

[Resolved] Draw More Attention to Cart Icon in Upper RH Corner
vidmarc replied to LaughingHorse's topic in Technical Help
It looks pretty good, I like it. And I'm using an old Firefox brower on an old Mac OS. -
Very strange. Perhaps it's a caching issue?

I took out all font descriptions in the layout file and it looks much better now. Incidentally, that copyright text looks to be in a bit of a strange location. Can it be moved elsewhere? It would be much better at the bottom, where the "eCommerce by CubeCart" text appears.

I was looking at this myself, but I didn't know where to begin...

What is the default font and size used inFoundation? I'd like to match my own copyright text to match the rest of the site. I've tried looking via Console in Chrome, but I keep seeing this: modernizr.min.js:8 Failed to decode downloaded font: http://fonts.gstatic.com/stats/Open+Sans/normal/400 modernizr.min.js:9 Failed to decode downloaded font: http://fonts.gstatic.com/stats/Open+Sans/normal/400 modernizr.min.js:9 Failed to decode downloaded font: http://fonts.gstatic.com/stats/Open+Sans/normal/400 modernizr.min.js:8 Failed to decode downloaded font: http://fonts.gstatic.com/stats/Open+Sans/normal/400 3(index):1Failed to decode downloaded font: http://fonts.gstatic.com/stats/Open+Sans/normal/400

Is there a way to add product images to a documents file so they scale in a responsive manner, as per the homepage's main template grid? I have two images added as "Coming Soon"to a document file I've named "Coming Soon" - yet when viewed on a portable device, they do not position well. Example: http://nucleusfilms.com/
-
Do I need to make all the images the same size?
-
I'm finding the additional images are distorted when viewed. Is there a reason for this? Example page: http://nucleusfilms.com/give-us-tomorrow.html

A friend of mine uses this: https://www.digimarc.com/about/technology/about-digital-watermarking

I just updated to Invisible reCAPTCHA (or so I thought), but when I look at my site, it is still using reCAPTCHA v2. I deleted the old Site and Secret keys and registered new keys, and ticked the Invisible reCAPTCHA at google and in Store Settings. Any ideas what's happening? http://nucleusfilms.com

We do this by allowing the out of stock item to be ordered, and adding a Pre-Order note to the product description.

Would there be any interest in somebody developing a plugin to add social icons to the top of a site's homepage? I think it would be very useful.
-
Thanks for your help. I'm not sure I want to mess about with the code. It would be better if there were hooks in place to enable several positions on the product page.

Since moving to Foundation, the AddThis links no longer display on the main product page. Instead, they're now tucked away under the Product -> "Specification" tab. Our social media shares have dwindled to zero because of this. Is there a way of placing them back on the main product pages, perhaps underneath the Add to Basket link?
-
Thanks for the info. Would be really useful if this was part of CC, or if there was a plugin for this. It's a basic requirement for branding I'd have thought?

Is there a simple way to add a full-width header background image, which sits behind the company logo?

I guess you're right
