OK, how can I answer the bit in bold: I have checked website and it shows offline page. In order to replicate the problem at our end can you please provide us the exact steps and also all the details related to it. I also request you to please check your scripts where you have mentioned the account path and check whether they are altered with /home60b/sub002/sc32225-NWDH

Just sent in a ticket to the host, what you all said above concerns me - after all I have been through the last thing I want is an unreliable host. I have been using these for years and have a few sites on it, One commercial one I know has quite a bit of traffic. will see what they say.

I realise that this is probably NOT a Cubecart issue but at the moment I am populating my Cubecart - I am adding about 30 products a day and every so often I get this error: ************* Warning: mysqli::mysqli() [mysqli.mysqli]: (HY000/2003): Can't connect to MySQL server on 'mysql1065.servage.net' (110) in /mounted-storage/home60b/sub002/sc32225-NWDH/greyprint.co.uk/classes/db/mysqli.class.php on line 22 Fatal error: Can't connect to MySQL server on 'mysql1065.servage.net' (110) in /mounted-storage/home60b/sub002/sc32225-NWDH/greyprint.co.uk/classes/db/mysqli.class.php on line 24 ************** If I leave it for a while I can get back into my admin section, I then Rebuild the database (selecting everything) and it all works as expected again. I am trying to keep things simple so want to stick with the supplied skins, which of the skins allows the larger images? I am just about to start filling my shop and want to make the images the correct size before I start ! I have spent a fortune on equipment for this new venture but haven't put anything in to the most important part of it all which is the public view of it - my cubecart My portal to the World

I have read all of the threads here about this but still no luck. I have uploaded my Logo's - One for the Mobile site (and made sure it is assigned to the mobile site) - One for main site, assigned again (In Store Settings under Logos), one for emails - I had a .PNG at first but then tried a .gif with no luck. I edited the Default Newsletter (which I cant turn on) and the 'Default Emails' which IS on. If I add the {$DATA.logoURL} I get the full url displayed in the email - if I 'Browse Server' and add the image that way (and make sure the path is displayed in the properties - actually it's images/source/etc) I just get the broken Image box displayed in the email (With a question Mark in the center). When the image url is displayed in the email (after using the {$DATA.logoURL} macro) it IS the full path to the image with my domain - click it and it takes you to the image on my server. I took advantage of the 30% offer to buy CC today, so keen to get this working properly (the developer working on my job's for this project is another story).

I see what you are trying to do there. I don't want to limit my available fonts although there will be a limit to the number - I certainly don't want to limit to Monotype. I suppose the question I am asking here is: Does anybody know if there is a way of calculating the width of a collection of characters in a certain font?

ok, we are making progress now (Since it is coming to the end of the 30 days quoted for the job)..lol. There is something we need to work out though, as my customer inputs characters, and sets the size of font required we need to show the overall height and width of the finished sign - hmm, Is there a standard width between letters ? something we can work to ? The only other way is for me to cut various signs and take measurements but that would take forever - is there a standard way of working that out I wonder? Or I could just copy the output from here.

I have a developer working on this, he said it would take a month so I am no further at all with my website. Thats ok at the moment as I am being bombarded with work just from what I show on social networks but I do need my cubecart running soon. I also have an image uploader job after this.. If he gives me what I need this time.

I like that, and see what you mean - I used Joomla for a while and you could do the linkage in a secret menu so maybe that is the way to do what I will be needing. It's a Rollercoaster of emotions for me at the moment, one day it seems I cant do what I need and then the next.. Keeps one alive though :)

I did ask a developer about this but the deal was not what I was looking for, I have since posted the jobs I need on a popular freelancer site and have had some encouraging responses so it looks like I will get what I am looking for but only time will tell. I really do want to use Cubecart for my project as I like it, its going to cost a few more pretty pennies (and it looks like time) before I am ready to go though so my idea of opening before Christmas may just be just that a 'nice idea' but that's life. Another fella did come back with a definite price, he was a little over confident though - I had to laugh that one off. The only thing I cant work out yet (and I havent spoken to anyone about this) is how do you create custom pages in CC - for my 'lettering Calculator'. I am hoping to link to the page from my index page as there is no better way of doing it.. Maybe I will have to use the description (Category) to add the html for the module ?

I am looking for ways to allow customers to upload images with orders, I have been searching for a few hours now and somebody has suggested using 'File Upload' which, so they say is already available ? I can't seem to find this option, could anybody point me in the right direction as this will help until I find an 'Image Upload' mod which I don't think exists at this time.

.. Building my CC: I will be offering Vinyl Lettering amongst other things and need a tool which allows the customer to enter desired Text, Size, Colour etc - show a price and send it to the cart. I have seen this, or variations of it around and I think on CC websites - here's an example. This is going to be crucial to me as I don't want people to have to email me with details.. (Hope I am not asking the Earth here) I have had a look in the Third party area but there isn't that much for V5 yet. Can anybody help ? ... a little later: I got quite excited a moment ago as I stumbled across another tool I need - 'Image Uploader' but it seems the developer has gone missing and the product is no longer for sale Quick update: I contacted Semperfi who got back to me quickly, sent him my requirements. will keep you posted.

.. Just as DB says. I hope there is some kind of clue in Paypal of what was purchased otherwise fun times could be ahead - I'm not able to do a live test yet but at least you know what I mean now

Thanks Mr Butter, That's very helpful young man I think the 'Postage' issue is vital to all - especially with our main service provider going mad with charges before being (potentially) privatised. My postman is a friend and I know they will be going 'On Strike' quite soon (Downing tools and basically drinking Beer all day - good for them but not for us) so I need to get all of my Ducks in Order before this happens. and especially as I intend opening my new business before Christmas 2013 I am only posting to the UK for now.

HI Folks, Hopefully a simple answer to this: When going via Paypal. as you get to enter your details (When logging in to Paypal) there is no description (on the left hand side) as to what you are about to pay for? I would be concerned about that if I were a customer. How can we set the 'Description' in this situation?

Hi Folks, My first post, and hopefully it's a simple one to answer. I have searched and cannot find the answer so what is the optimal size of a file to be uploaded for a product image both in terms of resolution and physical dimensions (in pixels)? I need to get this correct before I spend hours uploading my images - I am aware that the thumbnails may not appear very clearly if the original size/resolution is too far out, and of course I want the product image to be as clear and detailed as possible and fill up as much area as permitted without changing any code. I have a clean install of 5.2.2 and am using the Mican skin which is standard. Thanks in advance (in anticipation). Nik.
