  1. I restored it - I will re-do it now so you can see. ok, its restored.
  2. It didn't quite work out as expected
  3. Hadn't you already removed the 'class=span#' in the replacement code you supplied ?
  4. Hi All, It's been a few days and my store is now open but I'm back with another little issue I would like to fix: I would like the menu which is currently squashed to the right to become just One line all across the top - so it starts above the Mug? Firebug doesn't tell me too much
  5. With it being March 1st tomorrow (2014) I am taking that opportunity to finally open my store - those who have been following my story will realise this has been a bit of a 'Task' after having somebody build a tool which caused a few problems. I would like to thank Brian (BSmither) from this forum for his invaluable help all through - without Brian I would not be at this stage, or even close. So, with the opening looming I thought I would post here so you can all have a quick look. I could do with getting rid of the 'Latest Products' at the bottom as they are not really relevant so hopefully by the you are viewing my site that will have been resolved. So, what do you think overall? http://www.greyprint.co.uk/
  6. I logged into my 'Shopdev' account last night as my new skin's activation key was not being accepted - I checked my license details to find that it was licensed to: http://jollygr**njiant.greyprint.co.uk/ I told Shopdev about this and it has been rectified but this leaves me wondering whats going on ? if I navigate to http://jollygr**njiant.greyprint.co.uk/ (replace the * with 'e') I still get to my shop ! So, somehow somebody has added this subdomain - I am nervous as I don't want people being directed to me via this other subdomain. Whats the purpose of this I wonder? I did a quick search for this character and didn't like the results.. .. I just heard from shopdev: Has this happened to anyone else?
  7. That's outstanding Brian - thanks so much. Easy to follow instructions as ever
  8. Sorry for the delay, I am not only moving office but re-decorating at the same time. I just had a 'Scare' - I navigated to my website just to see a white page with 'Fusion Required' at the top ! I thought that as a result of my last message to Shopdev, which was factual and succinct .. I thought they had turned me off ! Could this happen, is the mere fact of my electing to use a 'Premium Theme' opening me up to being at the Mercy of someone else ? I just made the changes Brian (as above - thank you) and everything is looking great as far as that goes with the Tool but.. Can we get the other bits corrected as outlined in Post 11 ? pretty please
  9. Is there a way I can stop that blue area, and the text preview field popping out of the right side of the theme template ? I'm sure I wont be able to get the preview text to resize depending on screen size and I dont expect to be able to do that.
  10. I said to the Missus before I posted the above that I felt a bit silly asking such a question, it turns out that I was right to ask I made the change I needed to make following your instructions Brian, was even able to do it on my iPad (as I am out on a trip back to home). Really pleased to see that making changes like this are simple, no more messing with files hidden somewhere obscure. I'm most impressed with this feature of CC.
  11. This is driving me crazy.. All I want to do is change 'Search out store' to 'Search Greyprint' but I cannot work out which file to edit ! Firebug, must tell me but I just cannot see it: <!DOCTYPE html> <html id="index-page" class="no-js js no-mobile desktop no-ie ff ff27 root-section gradient rgba opacity textshadow multiplebgs boxshadow borderimage borderradius no-cssreflections csstransforms csstransitions no-touch no-retina fontface domloaded w-1920 gt-240 gt-320 gt-480 gt-640 gt-768 gt-800 gt-1024 gt-1280 gt-1440 gt-1680 no-portrait landscape" lang="en-GB" dir="ltr"> <head> <body id="section-home"> <div class="container-fluid"> <div id="page"> <header id="page-header"> <div id="page-layout"> <div class="flexslider-container"> <div id="homepage-document"> <header class="content-header"> <div class="row-fluid"> <div class="span8"> <div class="span4"> <div class="search"> <form class="input-append" method="post" action="/index.php?_a=category"> <input class="input-fill" type="search" placeholder="Search teresa" name="search[keywords]" style="width: 249px;"> There is no sign of any 'Index' page within my Vector skin !
  12. Outstanding, I feel slightly cheated though (and silly) as the 'Lettering Template' has an unusual name ! That's great, now I need to (I think) make the #designerleftcolumn a bit wider.. hmm, just did that by adding another 100px but this didn't solve my next problem ! The 'View Font Styles' text doesn't line up and the radio buttons underneath also don't line up as expected I could also do with another 30px of the Blue background at the bottom but I don't want to complicate things !
  13. Like this? #settings <div id="settings" class="clearfix" > { background:#F0F7FF !important; //height:350px; }
  14. I haven't responded as I have been trying to work out where the Lettering Template File is. The closest I can find in lettering.css is: #page_content{ padding:0px !important; } #designform{ width:1070px; } #text { height:170px; /* border:1px solid grey; */ width:1070px; overflow:auto; } #settings { background:#F0F7FF !important; height:350px; } With any ref to 'Settings'. I see in Firebug: <link href="http://www.greyprint.co.uk/modules/external/lettering/css/letter.css" type="text/css" rel="stylesheet"> <style type="text/css"> <input id="urlpath" type="hidden" value="http://www.greyprint.co.uk" name="urlpath"> <input id="imgfile" type="hidden" value="" name="imgfile"> <form id="addproduct" class="addForm" method="post" action="http://www.greyprint.co.uk/index.php?_a=letter"> <input id="prod_id" type="hidden" value="" name="prod_id"> <div id="designform"> <div class="tk"> <div id="settings"> <div id="designerleftcolumn"> <div id="designer_enter_text"> <div id="designer_select_font"> <div id="designer_select_colour"> Which leads me to think that this is the file where I should find what you want me to change ! if I search 'Letter.css' for: <div id="settings"> it's not there !
  15. For 'Safety' reasons I will wait until this is built into the next update, even then its going to be a distressing time for me upgrading again (don't really want to do it but I do need a way of getting a code out). I don't want to break my tools again.
  16. lol, yes - quite. But as I said, I won't be doing anything that will land me in trouble again.. It wont hurt to play with this though.
  17. I do keep trying to search before asking a question but the flood control makes me wait far too long and I like to get things done immediately ..And I don't understand why people keep saying 'Great Support' when it comes to Shopdev - I have had just the opposite So, I'm trying to work out what the optimum size is for my product images - the size I was using for the Mican skin was 600px on the longest side as advised here but it seems they could be a little bigger with this theme ? I was trying Firebug but thats not giving me the answers I was hoping for
  18. I want to temp my visitors to sign up to my Newsletter by offering a % off first order. I have created the coupon - no problem with that BUT.. How to get this code to them? The only way I can think of is to have the code sent in a 'Thanks for Subscribing' email - "Here is your code etc". After having a test customer sign up for the Newsletter neither myself nor the test customer received anything - is this normal? Also, where do I find the files to be edited (if there are any). Ideally I would like anyone subscribing to my Newsletter to get a notification if that's possible ? p.s. So nice to be posting about something not so crucial for once
  19. With the help of Brian this issue has been resolved - now all of my tools are working. It took the addition of One single word in the code to rectify the problem I had but before anything could be done my Plugin had to be examined, went through with a Fine Toothed Comb. Brian did it again - I have so much to be thankful to him for.
  20. Fantastic, thanks for that Jonathan. Just sat down from a solid 6 hour drive so as soon As I get to set the Mac up this will the first thing I do. Will report back soon :)
  21. Still nothing from Shopdev. "Our target response time is 24 hours. Whilst we are often happy to provide advice, we cannot offer techincal support for third party modifications or plugins. We recommend that you seek support from the modification or plugin developer where you have any issues with such." ..and maybe that's the reason As this is a Plugin, and written specifically for CC5.2.5 - I am hoping it will be possible to fix it in the same way the other tool was revived. Last night I worked out how much I had spent on tools, licenses etc and it's frightening - one thing is for sure, I have come too far to give up now.
  22. I think the OP ended up logging into their 'Business' facebook account (then visiting their website) and sharing pages that way - I also have the 'Addthis' option running which I do like. I was just wondering if I had missed something, thanks for posting though horsthuis
  23. Any chance you could let us know how you did this, I'm betting others will want to do the same.
  24. I did have all Caching disabled Brian, but still a good idea to drill this into everyone reading. Been sitting here for a while, with Firebug - what an outstanding tool that is ! I will make a point of learning everything I can about that.. I think it's only right to expect some sort of support from Shopdev so I have opened up another ticket as a 'Paid' customer this time, hopefully I will get a response (holding breath). My whole business is built around the two tools I am trying to get working with the skin of my choice, I am not surprised we had problems with the Lettering Tool but the Image Upload I thought would be fine as it was built with Hooks - I was just going through the 'Show Off' thread, where people are posting their new Cubecart websites (I will do that one day) and noticed somebody say 'It's a steep learning curve' - your not wrong there. 'Frustrating' is MY word of the year so-far but with great support here the job will get done and I will be able to finally open and hopefully make some money after all of this time. Me and mine have been on Bread and Water for some time now
  25. I only just had help getting another issue with Cubecart/Fusion/Vector fixed and feel as if I am expecting too much by asking for help again this soon.. But I have spent the last hour going over the instructions that came with my 'Image Upload' tool, and following them.. guess what ? I can't get this to work either. Brian worked out what was causing my last problem and I am wondering if the same issue could be stopping my tool from working. This tool was built using 'Hooks' and I thought it was 'Bullet proof'. Here's what Brian thought was going on before: The instructions that came with this (Bespoke) plugin are simple: So, all of that was no problem - it's done. Next: Here's what the original code looks like from the un-touched Vector (main.php). <!-- Plugin JavaScripts --> {foreach from=$JS_SCRIPTS key=k item=script} <script src="{$STORE_URL}/{$script}"></script> {/foreach} I have tried this: <!-- Plugin JavaScripts --> {foreach from=$JS_SCRIPTS key=k item=script} <script type="text/javascript" src="{$STORE_URL}/{$script|replace:'':'/'}"></script> {/foreach} {if !empty($IMAGE_UPLOAD_JS)}{$IMAGE_UPLOAD_JS}{/if} But I don't know what else I can try !
