  1. Nothing came through on pending. Cant seem to PM you bsmither
  2. Not sure how to test it out other than someone placing an order.
  3. We did have the order status for admin email notifications set to processing. I have now changed it to pending to see if that makes any difference. We also no longer receive emails on completed emails. Although I am not sure where this one is generated. Could there be an error under our email sending method perhaps?
  4. I have checked the language setup in admin and the default language is English. When I look under the actual UK flag for the Admin: Order received email template it comes up as English. When I test the email on Advance settings page I get the message that the test failed to execute but we do then receive an email saying testing cube cart
  5. I know - that's what made me wonder if there's a glitch in there somewhere!
  6. Any clues on how to solve the problem we are having - no email notifications coming through? Unlike bos (glad your situation is sorted!) our site is English so no problems with translation of templates there. Any other ideas? It was all running smoothly until quite recently.
  7. We are running version 6.0.12 and on the upgrade tab it says we are running the latest version. The language is set to English UK We do not get any email notifications. What I meant by the 'new order' comment was that, similarly to the person named bos who raised this topic, when we try and edit Admin:Order received it says New Order in the box and German as the language - there are eight flags showing How do I test to see if the email file has been corrupted?
  8. Hi, We have got the same problem in that we are also no longer getting emails to notifify us that an order has been placed. We are also getting the same message as bos on testing the email. The output buffering is 4096 as expected but we also get New order and the language set as german(!) when looking at the Admin: order received email template Would be very interested to hear what the solution us and also why this has started happening. Thanks
  9. OK Thanks for that. I have got our web hosters looking at the problem now - of course they keep trying to blame Cubecart or the number of plugins etc. Will look into their VPS option too if they don't come up with anything.
  10. Thank you for all your replies - I am still trying to get to the bottom of it all with our web hoster/server. Dirty Butter - any chance you can explain the images you sent through? Thanks Also should we using a vps rather than a shared server?
  11. OK Some of the things mentioned causing slow speeds are: Your page has 2 blocking CSS resources. This causes a delay in rendering your page. None of the above-the-fold content on your page could be rendered without waiting for the following resources to load. Try to defer or asynchronously load blocking resources, or inline the critical portions of those resources directly in the HTML. Optimize CSS Delivery of the following: http://fonts.googleapis.com/…llic-ext,latin,greek-ext,greek,latin-ext http://www.polscoecottage.co.uk/…out.css?a3a43216019b5ac0009b7d362e658e73 Optimize the following images to reduce their size by 1.4KiB (18% reduction). Losslessly compressing http://www.polscoecottage.co.uk/…n/skins/default/images/cubecart-logo.png could save 1.4KiB (18% reduction). and; Compacting JavaScript code can save many bytes of data and speed up downloading, parsing, and execution time. Minify JavaScript for the following resources to reduce their size by 1.1KiB (13% reduction). Minifying http://www.polscoecottage.co.uk/…dmin.js?a3a43216019b5ac0009b7d362e658e73 could save 1.1KiB (13% reduction) after compression. Does this help at all?
  12. I have just spoken to our web hosting/ server guys and they have tested our site for us and have informed us that there are some coding changes that could be made to speed up page loading times. Just wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction to do this. Thanks
  13. Hi, Just trying to work out why our Cubecart site seems to be slowing down. Carrying out any admin tasks seem to take much longer now - is there a limit to the amount of space re images etc.? The site seems sluggish and although at first we were blaming our broadband speeds we are wondering if perhaps there is another reason. Any clues? Thanks
  14. OK thanks very much - I will enquire and see what our hosting provider comes up with.
  15. OK Thanks Upgrade completed and although it is now telling me that we are running on the most recent version I also have the following message: Your store is currently using the latest version. Please click force upgrade to restore to the default code for this version. What is meant by the second sentence and will hitting the 'force upgrade' button get rid of our own 'skin' ? And - do we do it before or after removing the setup folder to keep the site secure? Is the PHP 5.4.45 version OK or does this need upgrading too, and if so where does the latest PHP version come from?
  16. OK Thanks for all your help so far - I have added the line into the includes/global.inc.php file and have got rid of the message. But now I am back to the age old problem in that it will not upgrade automatically - hence the reason why I avoid these upgrades like the plague. Every time I try an upgrade I am told I need to do it manually which always sends me into a panic! I thought I had an old answer somewhere hidden in these forums on how to do the manual upgrade and I can sort of remember. But as I can't find it, and I am not 100% certain please can someone remind me what to do once I have downloaded the new version. Also, please can someone explain why the automatic upgrades do not work for me!! Thanks again for all your help. It's OK - I've found the link for the upgrade but I am still intrigued as to why an automatic upgrade is never possible and I always have to do the manual one??
  17. Thanks We are using PHP version 5.4.45
  18. Hi I am upgrading from 6.0.8 to 6.0.12 and it redirects me to a new page with that message on when attempting to do the upgrade. The same message is also coming up when carrying out any admin tasks but then it is just displayed at the top of the cube cart page. I have no idea what PHP we are on -how do I find out?! Nor do we know what memcache is - so I guess we are not using it!
  19. On trying to do an upgrade and also other admin maintenance, the following error message has come up; Warning: Memcache::connect(): Can't connect to 127.0.0.1:11211, Connection refused (111) in /vhost/vhost14/p/o/l/polscoecottage.co.uk/www/classes/cache/memcache.class.php on line 39 Warning: Couldn't initiate Memcache. Thanks
  20. We have the PayPal Express Checkout Integration checked
  21. Thanks for that. I have checked and under the stock tab we have reduce stock levels=When has been made & under the features tab we have the time for pending orders blank. I got it back to front though and it is actually when an order has been placed but we decline the order that the stock levels do not get corrected. Sorry for the confusion.
  22. Please can you explain how we sort our cube cart store so that the only way in which to pay for anything is via PayPal? At the moment although I thought we only had PayPal selected as an option, there also seems to be the option of paying by credit card displayed at the checkout screen. How do we get rid of this? Thanks
  23. Hi, Not sure what is going on but we seem to have an issue with incomplete orders. If someone places a product in their basket, goes to check out as normal but then changes their mind and does not complete the purchase, the product that they chose and then declined is not replaced and thus the actual remaining stock level is incorrect as it is assumed that the sale has been completed. Please can anyone explain what is going on and how we can correct the problem. Thanks
  24. Upon clicking the checkout the customer is informed "this page cannot be displayed". It it only seems to happening for non UK based customers!
