  1. I'm stuck with this one. Currently I have 2 shipping options in my store. 1. Courier 2. Collect in store. When customer adds items to basked, in "select shipping method always shows "Collect in Store" as default option. I want "Courier" to be the default option as 95% of my customers want courier, and 100% of them will click "checkout" without looking at the shipping options, then will call me in few days "Where is my item?!!!" Thanks, Peter
  2. There is no need to do this, the old urls do not exist anywhere on the website any more. They are hidden from now on. Seriously do not worry about this. Unless you want to do it for the sake of it than use 301 redirect for every old page to new seo friendly url. But you might end up with redirect loop in some instances so I would leave it and let spiders do their job. Regards, Peter
  3. OK, Added this to .htaccess and it works well. # force HTTPS RewriteCond %{HTTPS} =off RewriteRule ^(admin) https://www.yourdomain.co.uk%{REQUEST_URI} [L,R=301]
  4. Hi No problem for seo, as all links generated on your website are seo friendly now. So there is no links to "OLD" urls. If there is no links to it, google can't get to it. Besides, this is a red herring that two links can cause the problem. But anyways, from now on spiders will automatically update their links to seo friendly urls and will drop your old links over the next few weeks. Nothing to worry about. regards, Peter
  5. How to force CC 5 to redirect admin access always via ssl? Thanks, Peter
  6. That's the thing, we don't want people to walk away, because silly things. CubeCart is the best e-commerce platform for small business wanting fully working shop - FULL STOP. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction Al, as usual top service!
  7. So, one has to read manual you say. " It is important to copy and existing skin before starting. This way your layout changes won't be lost when upgrading your store in the future." I think there still should be a warning up there, no one RTFM's unles told. I shall go and read, few shops to do so, it might be useful ;-)
  8. CC has very weird update system. IT WIPES EVERYTHING OFF!!!, luckily I did my first CC upgrade on the experimental website but anyway it overwrites all tpl & css files. CC has the poorest choice of templates on the planet so obviously people will tweak them up to the certain level. Making backup off all of it is fine but the need of uploading it again is just stupid. The team who writes the code should made the update to be the update not virtually new install. Very poor indeed. Therefore I propose: 1. Made upgrade to be a core update only which means it upgrades everything except SKIN folder. 2. At least before the above will be implemented, WARN USERS that all changes they have made to templates will be lost. I'm personally surprised that update touched skin folder as there is no need for it what so ever. And I think to ask every shop owner to have to rebuild his shop after the update is unacceptable. Regards, Peter I think I have to start using commas ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, please pick one and insert above where required.
  9. .. I'm not sure thats quite factual Ha ha, I only said that because it's true and I don't want every few months replacing my shopping cart software If CubeCart had this it would be near perfect. The split screen is most popular Log in on the left | Register on the right. https://www.hallmark.co.uk/checkout/CheckoutLogin/ https://www.littlewoods.com/account/checkoutLogin.page? https://www.marksandspencer.com/ Argos.co.uk amazon.co.uk www.selfridges.com next.co.uk
  10. Thanks mate, is it possible to do a checkout the way every other e-commerce website has? I mean when you click checkout for the customer to be sent to the login page and up there if he/she is not registered to click register. Not the other way around as it is now. Sorry but I will keep bothering you as I need to switch few online shops from bastardised opencart and I narrowed it to CubeCart as I feel if there is a dude behind it, it will be easier to get direct support (paid for obviously).
  11. Hi Guys, So I'm back after few years trying again CubeCart and I really like it. But there is few bids and bobs I need to sort out before I decide to buy the licences. And the first one is that I want all customers to be registered customers, I don't want any ghost customers. How do I do that? I have CC 5.2.12 Thanks, Peter
