    I've done it! :-)

    I've just been looking at all the files held within my admin area of my host. Whilst I understand the (very basic) basics i'm having trouble finding things. For example I needed to add my site seal to my site (just the 'verify' sticker not the full ssl certificate setup)...I understood to put it within the 'main.php' file, but I couldn't find it anywhere, even after looking through (what I thought) was all files relating to my site. In the end I had to ask my host to do it (tsohost - HIGHLY recommend as they've always been great and incredibly helpful). They did it straight away, but I think I'll have to ask them where the main.php file is so I can try things out for myself....knowledge is power!!

    Thanks very much for the feed back, it's really appreciated. I chose the pink as it was the standard skin that was the closest match to my logo colours, not my favourite colour either but needs must I think. Unfortunately, my technical expertise doesn't stretch to moving the blocks around (although I do agree that a little re-adjustment would improve the asthetics), if this is something that's easier to do than it sounds then i'd be very pleased to learn! Finally, as i'm the client and creator I shall take on board your suggestion regarding one type of photo orientation, never thought of that before, but it makes a lot of sense. Thanks again.

  4. Hi, I'm having a problem with my automatic e-mails. On a new order being placed (processing stage email selected) I receive an admin 'order confirmation', but the customer receives a cart 'confirmation' AND an admin 'confirmation'. On completing an order (manually changing status from processing to complete) no cart 'order complete' email is being sent to the customer (I need them to send as a follow up and feedback request). I have checked all my store settings>advanced settings and all seems ok, and there are no restrictions imposed from my server. I also have 'force order completed emails' selected, but I think this only refers to straight to complete orders? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  5. Thanks. I've had a look but can't find the main.php file in mican. I've found it in admin>skins>default>templates but the code is different from that above, and when inserted the site seal code has no effect. Am I looking in the wrong place? Thanks for your help.

  7. Hi, I've managed to get an SSL certificate applied to my site, which is working fine. I would now like to add the trust seal badge, I have the code, and think the best place for the seal badge would be in the final 3rd of the 'search and language' bar at the top of the each page (as this is currently unused space). Could you tell me where I would need to add the code for this to happen. Thank as always for any help.

  11. Hi, I'm having trouble when changing an order received from 'Pending' to 'Processing' or 'Complete' it yields a blank page and doesn't complete the action. In System Error Log i've received this - [Exception] /var/sites/z/mystore.com/public_html/includes/lib/smarty/sysplugins/smarty_internal_templatecompilerbase.php:22 - Syntax error in template "f0d9f60b8943a75aa73ac9a7d224e22fab4e9b24" on line 22 "brokenlinkimage{DATA.logoURL} the brokenlinkimage being {$DATA.storeName} I have edited my store name. Could anyone tell me what this means please, and how to fix it. Thanks
  12. Thank you very much everyone for your help and feedback. Good news!! At first the store started going offline when asked, then the name changed and logo re-appeared! I'm not sure what has happened, my hosting people were tinkering but have not claimed responsibility for the remedy, but all now seems to be working fine. Maybe it just took some time to bed in?! Thanks again for all your help. I will now go and build my store :-)
  13. Hi, Thanks for your response. I have asked my hosts the caching question, but I can verify that the settings are still not applied when viewed on a different computer (The page is still called Rentaghost with no logo regardless of what it says in store settings.) It does now, however, go offline when commanded, which it didn't before. Any help would be appreciated. Adam
  14. Further developments... I've had my very helpful and wonderful hosting people completely reinstall CubeCart 5.2.16 for me, and once again the store settings won't take effect in the storefront (except the skin selector). My hosting company are not CubeCart experts, and so don't know what the problem is. In the admin area it'll save the details I enter in settings>store settings>general, offline and logo's, but they do not transfer through to the front end. I am now Rentaghost, with no logo (except 'Your Logo') and would appreciate any help anyone could give. Thanks
