  1. Many thanks for your help with this issue. I understand these are warnings and not to worry about. I have tried the upgrade to 6.4.9 and the files copied across fine but when I tried to run the setup, I got as far as the screen where you choose to upgrade or install then when I selected upgrade and "continue" I got this error: [Exception] /home/domains/vol1/497/2594497/user/htdocs/setup/index.php:240 - Cannot access offset of type string on string And the upgrade goes no further. Interestingly the files alone seem to have fixed the issue I was having with the Orders views as I can now see them. But every time I log into my admin control panel I get a warning note telling me my shop appears to be using files from 6.4.9 but has not been upgraded from 6.4.8 Any suggestions how I might get the install complete?
  2. Many thanks for the reply will have a look at the update mentioned above in the morning. Regarding whether the image is present yes it is in place (I can navigate to it by URL i.e. www.myshop.co.uk/images/source/RG_Design.jpg I have what looks like the same error for lots of image files, so may have a line in the error log for every image on the shop
  3. Now have managed to get an error to show up, its this one that I suspect signposts the problem (have redacted the URL): [<strong>Exception</strong>] /home/domains/vol1/497/2594497/user/htdocs/admin_Ok8tTn/sources/orders.index.inc.php:854 - var_dump() expects at least 1 argument, 0 given https://www.myshop.co.uk/admin_******.php?_g=orders&customer_id=38020
  4. Many thanks, I already had the error logging in place and just ran a test at 17.12 - tried to access the Orders page and no error specific to that reported on the error log. There were a bunch of entries that I wondered might help explain though: There are hundreds of this error today one for each image on my shop: [04-Jan-2023 17:08:34 UTC] PHP Warning: Undefined array key "/images/source/RG_Design.jpg" in /home/domains/vol1/497/2594497/user/htdocs/classes/catalogue.class.php on line 2154 Then the most recent lines in the error log are as below: [04-Jan-2023 17:08:34 UTC] PHP Warning: Undefined variable $cache_id in /home/domains/vol1/497/2594497/user/htdocs/classes/gui.class.php on line 1305 [04-Jan-2023 17:08:36 UTC] PHP Warning: Undefined variable $cache in /home/domains/vol1/497/2594497/user/htdocs/classes/language.class.php on line 94 [04-Jan-2023 17:08:41 UTC] PHP Warning: Undefined variable $cache in /home/domains/vol1/497/2594497/user/htdocs/classes/language.class.php on line 94 [04-Jan-2023 17:08:47 UTC] PHP Warning: Undefined variable $cache in /home/domains/vol1/497/2594497/user/htdocs/classes/language.class.php on line 94 By way of further info, I had a problem with order numbers being missing on packing slips and email notifications as well as on the dashboard page (you can see the name of the purchaser but not the order id) prior to the upgrade which I did raise a discussion thread about back in October last year but didnt really get any answers so assumed it was normal. The upgrade process looks to have worked fine but now you cant get into any orders views at all - new orders, historical orders etc. You can go into a customer record fine but if you try to look at the orders tab for that customer, again you get a completely blank page. Hoping the above might help?
  5. Good morning, hoping I might be able to get some assistance with an issue experienced directly following an upgrade from 6.4.7 to 6.4.8 on my admin control panel. The upgrade has run and the online shop is functioning fine post upgrade. I can access Admin control panel fine, and everything appears to be working fine aside from the various Order views. So when I look at the Orders page I just get a completely blank page - doing a "view source" shows nothing at all no HTML PHP etc just a complete blank page Then if I look from the dashboard at "view today's orders" the report shows "no results found". Same for "this week's orders" I do get an email when an order is placed and the email looks fine, with a message title of "New Order #230104-100718-4088" but there is no order number showing in the email message body. Same applies on the dashboard views where you can see the name of the person who placed today's most recent order for example but no order number is shown. Would be grateful if anyone can suggest how to get access to the order page to show. Thanks! Robert
  6. Great many thanks just made the edit and the set up has now run. I have spotted a new issue which I will raise a separate thread for, as this installation issue is now resolved. Thanks again!
  7. Hi Al, I've now uploaded all the contents of the zip, renamed the new admin.php to match the global.inc.php then navigated to www.myshop.co.uk/setup but instead of being able to upgrade I get this error: [Exception] /home/domains/vol1/497/2594497/user/htdocs/classes/language.class.php:106 - Undefined constant "ADMIN_CP" Any thoughts on where I go next? Thanks!
  8. Thanks Al, many apologies for the endless questions but just want to check do I need to copy just the setup folder across to my ftp hosting or every folder contained within the zip?
  9. Thanks Al So can I check - if my admin folder for example was called "admin123" and my admin.php file was called "index123.php" then my lines in global.inc.php should be this right: $glob['adminFile'] = 'index123.php'; $glob['adminFolder'] = 'admin123'; and to get into my admin pages I would use the url www.myshop.co.uk/admin123.php Thanks! Robert
  10. Ok so I've extracted out the files and just copied over the admin folder to replace my empty folder. I've checked my global.inc.php values match but still getting an error 404. Do i really need to overwrite all files associated with cubecart or can i get admin working again before I do that?
  11. OK fine I have a full set of backups. When I started the upgrade earlier it completely emptied the admin folder on my hosting. So I had an "admin" folder but there were no php files or anything else in it. So now when I try to go into my admin pages I get an error 404 (obviously as the php page I used to go to is no longer present) Will give it a shot see what happens
  12. Thanks Al no I havent done anything as yet didnt want to break anything. I can see this will get the install files in place ready to go but can I check will this generate the admin pages that have disappeared as part of the install?
  13. HI all Help! just started the upgrade of my online shop from 6.4.7 to 6.4.8 Soon as I started the upgrade I got a message saying something like I ill need to FTP the install script to my hosting. Something like that. Now I cant get into my admin pages at all. The shop is still running fine. Looking via FTP I can see global.inc.php and functions.inc.php are both dated as of the time I tried to upgrade. The Admin folder which contained my admin files is empty. Is there a way to finish the install manually and get the admin files reinstated? Appreciate any help you can provide Thanks Robert
  14. Many thanks for the reply, we have the site now working with PHP8 following bsmither's good advice!
  15. Just to record that the fix provided for the original request, i.e. getting the admin pages to appear when using PHP8.0 did wprk fine and the shop and the admin pages both work fine with PHP8.0 now Many thanks
  16. Thanks again for your help here - I can see the edit icon fine, which allows me to see the order. And when I go to print the order, the order number shows on the browser tab the packing slip appears in so it is clearly being generated and saved in the database. But the order number is not on the packing slip either. I've got a standard order number far as I know, format 221022-190648-5045 and the order number was present until I switched to the latest admin pages. Thanks in advance for any further suggestions
  17. Thanks again, have followed the instructions and have the latest version of the Admin pages working so I can now move on and try the PHP8 upgrade on my hosting. I do have a problem though, on my orders screen I no longer have the order number showing, so I can't use it to open the order for viewing/printing etc. Not sure if this is something anyone has seen before?
  18. Many thanks for taking the time to respond, I will give that a try first thing tomorrow, I am guessing this indicates we have had a bit of a glitch during installation of the latest version. Will update to confirm whether this does the trick in case anyone else experiences this problem. Thanks again!
  19. Many thanks for the reply, when I went to the admin login I just got a completely blank page. I then went to inprivate browsing and got the login page but it did not recognise the password - once I used the forgot password link I could login but even on an in private session I got a completely blank page when I had logged in. Thats when I reverted to PHP7.4 and all was fine. I just looked and I have an "admin" folder and an "admin_n6kWr4", but the maintenance page on cubecart says I upgraded to 6.4.7 on 31 Aug 2022. Does that indicate something?
  20. Hi all I am running a shop on Fasthosts installed version is 6.4.7 with no add ons installed. Fasthosts PHP support requires a move to 8.0 in November, just tried the upgrade, unfortunately it has stopped the Admin pages showing at all. I've tried inprivate browsing on various browsers but seeing nothing. The error log shows a large number of warnings, as attached. Have reverted to PHP7.4 and all is well again, but obviously would like to get to a working PHP8 situation if I can. Hope someone might have some suggestions what I could try? Thanks in advance for any help Rgds Robert error_log.txt
