  2. Before the last upgrade the USPS had calculated International USPS rates wrong. I deleted the old USPS plug-in, cleared cache, etc, then installed the new USPS plug-in set it up wiht both domestic and international and am still getting the same error. What it is doing is calculating US Domestic rates, showing them, and never going to the International rates. We have added a $3.50 "handling" fee to help offset the cost of signature required, so if you check the post office rates at https://postcalc.usps.com/ you will see our rate is different than either domestic or international. However, First-Class Package International Service to South Africa on a 4 ounce package should be USD 13.25 NOT USD 6.84 which is domestic USA first class package rates (with the extra $3.50) See attached How do I get it to calculate or show and use International Rates when the shipment is for International, and the buyer enters an International address for ship to address? By the way, the error in International rates that just happened, the buyer entered an international Bill to, and International Ship To address. Both in South Africa.
  3. ayz1 the reason is we have never in 20 years received a single legitimate order from Nigeria. Instead, all we have gotten are scams, scammers, and fraudulent orders from a-holes who are trying to verify fake credit card numbers costing us time, effort and money. bwmither, yeah, I will use Apache directives.
  4. Is there a way to ban customers and/or entire countries? I'm looking at doing it via .htaccess because I did not see anything to be able to do it in CC.
  5. Thanks bsmither and Al Al, It's USPS's favorite game to "prove their value" to everyone. [sarcasm]
  6. So just go into Admin | Store Settings | Languages and make changes there? Hopefully, eventually it will use insurance options, signature required, etc. from USPS.
  7. BSmither - Thank You, the question is will it be fixed in time, if not what do us with USPS plugins do to change things to comply. And will those changes hold when there are updates to CC? Ian - setting that up in Github now
  8. I'm wondering if anyone has tested and checked if the new USPS API changes will be affecting the USPS plugin.
  9. Read those, and yes they did not really address this. Personally, I think since the info is already there in the database, it ought to be available for newsletters. But maybe that's just me
  10. Hi! I'm wondering how I can add the customer's name to the newletter. So instead of it just starting with a generic "Dear Customer" It can start with Dear [customer name] - We just use the customer's first name when we have sent newsletters in the past. Also, I would like to be able to add the last item they ordered and the date of their last order to the newsletter. Seeing when they last ordered and what they ordered, may get them to re-order rather than shop somewhere else. Thanks!
  11. We just got a call from a customer who had entered their information into the shopping cart. He had entered his zip code as (I'm making up numbers here) 12345 1234 And he got an error that there were no shipping methods available. Looking at his address I spotted there was no "-" inbetween his zip code and the +4 numbers. After I went into his account and removed the space and +4 numbers of his zip code, he was able to complete his order. If a customer is using a US zip code and wants to use the +4 numbers, they need to enter the "-" Out of curiosity, does a space inbetween numbers like in Canadian zip codes also cause an error saying there is no shipping method available?
  12. Thank you very much for the help and info! I wanted to add a couple additions: "Shipped" Then Order Complete can change to "Delivered" status "Shipping Issue Please Contact us" Does the cart automatically send an email if the person abandons their cart?
  13. Thank You! I left the sale items active, so just commented out the first two boxes.
  14. Thank You. Ideally, I would like to send an email to the customer with the status update. Currently does CubeCart send an email to the customer with the status change for example, when I select Order Complete rather than Processing?
  15. I'm using CC 6.0.8 and Foundation skin I would like to add additional order status' to the selections currently available. I went to Languages | Edit Phrases | Order State - Order Statuses And found there are only 6 buckets for phrases available (description_x, name_x) How do I add more? Thank you in advance for your help and advice.
  16. I would like to remove the Featured Product and the Best Sellers from showing up on the cart. While doing that, I would like to preserve the spaces so in the future i have the ability put messages or whatever in those boxes/spaces. I'm guessing i would need to create two boxes that would be blank (for now) and replace the boxes in the template. Is this correct? If so, where do I find them, and what do I need to change code wise? I'm using CC6 and Foundation skin Thank you in advance for your assistance.
  17. I have been going round and round on this one and hopefully there is an expert in mod_rewrites who can answer this. My site is structured with top level (lets call it root) pages all with a .php extension e.g. https://mysite.com/anypage.php (there are around 100 pages like this) I have moved to a wordpress site, as a sub folder of root, and CubeCart as a subfolder as root In my wordpress site, I have duplicated the text of the .php pages. A lot of the pages rank really high in the search engines for their terms. And I don't want to lose that ranking. I know there is a way to redirect an entire site from one domain to another with 301 redirects. And there is a way to redirect root pages to a subfolder with 301 redirects. For example I found this # Redirect domain.com to domain.com/folder/ Example Below… RewriteEngine On RewriteRule ^$ /blog/ [R=301] # end redirect With /blog/ being the sub folder. The problem, is it keeps the .php extension and I would like to strip that away. WordPress will not let me add extensions so the pages end up showing https://mysite.com/wp/anypage Can someone help me with this?
  18. As we move into 2016 I would like to Thank some people that immediately come to mind for your help, advice and assistance to me in getting my CubeCart store working and overcoming the hiccups I had. If I don't mention you, it is **not** a slight. I know I will miss some. First is Al Brookbanks - without him we would not have CubeCart. Next is Bsmither - I've always received excellent advice, and really appreciate his "stick-to-it-ness" in getting issues resolved. Next is Dirty Butter - Who's replies have been very helpful Havenswift-hosting - Who's replies have been very helpful And finally Geotex - who has given me tremendous support, and helped with numerous issues, the move over to different hosting, and much, much more. Geotex was the one who first told me about CubeCart. So Thank You All, Merry Christmas, Happy Belated Hanukkah, and a Very Happy and Successful 2016!
  19. Bsmither, yeah I think it is some mod rewrites that are causing this. I was trying to get the old part (top level) which has high rankings to permanent redirect (301) to the wp section. So I used the cPanel redirects. After removing them, the error was gone. But there are no redirects. So I'm now looking for code that will automatically redirect a page like https:mysite.com/mypage.php to https://mysite.com/wp/mypage harrisorganic you may need to do a modrewrite and put it in your .htaccess file This is what I use and I have had no problem: # Force redirect to https RewriteEngine On RewriteCond %{HTTPS} off RewriteRule (.*) https://%{HTTP_HOST}%{REQUEST_URI} [R=301,L] # End redirectJust copy and paste into your .htaccess file Also make sure your settings in your cart are set for https Admin | Store Settings | SSL [Enable SSL] YES [Store URL]: Your store's FULL URL https://mystoreexample.com/cart (or whatever your store URL is) and the cookie dominan .mystoreexample Of course you will change the "mystoreexample" to your correct info What do you sell? Strictly wine, or other things as well?
  20. I just noticed today December 22 that my cart is redirecting every product page someplace else. For example I enter: https://emperorsherbologist.com/extra-dark-chocolate6oz And I get redirected to my WP URL With a URL https://emperorsherbologist.com/wp/?seo_path=extra-dark-chocolate6oz I can get to the cart with no redirect https://emperorsherbologist.com/cart/ and when I click on a product in the cart, I get redirected to the main wordpress page wih a URL of https://emperorsherbologist.com/wp/?seo_path=[whatever the cart url should be] I'm using Foundation skin, and did nothing to change anything on it. Everything was working properly earlier.
