  1. I have a Royal Mail business account, I used to use the OBA PPi but switched over to Business Click & Drop so we can still get average weights on parcels and large letters plus we get track and trace on them all (oh and free 6 x 4 labels ) BUT I have to manually do the orders which can take hours even though I have a good routine. Yesterday we had 7 mails sacks sent out so you can imagine the hours we waste doing this.
  2. The key words were handy though for searching products. Cubecart search is one of the things I dislike most, I have various products called Friend, Friendship and another called Friends - you'd think a search for friend would bring them all up but nope. Have to get somewhat creative in all the descriptions so as not to fall foul of keyword spamming.
  3. In settings: Countries/Zones tab there is the option in each country to Disable or to Enable(Zone Required) , Enable(Zone Optional) , Enable(Zone Disabled). I currently have mine set to optional and customers aren't required to select their County, if I change it to Required then they must select a county from the list. So I was thinking that as Northern Ireland only has 6 counties this could be set simpler than inputting loads of postcodes. But as you have explained above we can use the BT* which simplifies it even more. Thanks am going to go look at our shipping now and try work some rules out.
  4. In AIOS would selecting the enabled status 'Zone Required' make people have to enter their county/state? NI only has 6. In AIOS how do we add a range of postcodes, can we put an hypenated range such as BT1-BT94 or can we just use the BT* or do they need to be put in full comma separated list such as BT1,BT2,BT3,BT4,BT5,BT6,BT7,BT8,BT9,BT10,BT11,BT12,BT13,BT14,BT15,BT16,BT17,BT18,BT19,BT20,BT21,BT22,BT23,BT24,BT25,BT26,BT27,BT28,BT29,BT30,BT31,BT32,BT33,BT34,BT35,BT36,BT37,BT38,BT39,BT40,BT41,BT42,BT43,BT44,BT45,BT46,BT47,BT48,BT49,BT50,BT51,BT52,BT53,BT54,BT55,BT56,BT57,BT58,BT59,BT60,BT61,BT62,BT63,BT64,BT65,BT66 ,BT67,BT68,BT69,BT70,BT71,BT72,BT73,BT74,BT75,BT76,BT77,BT78,BT79,BT80,BT81,BT82 ,BT83,BT92,BT93,BT94
  5. I think this will be applicable to most stores operating in GB but shipping to NI and something we are all going to have to look at in our shipping rules.
  6. Did this get sorted as it's something I would be interested in for my store
  7. It's never asked me for my gender or DOB : I think it's just Paypals generic terminology, all it passes to Cubecart is the same info that gets passed to you when a customers purchases off you and pays via Paypal. The skin is fab have a look at my store (I have adapted it a bit though), in fact I'm so happy with it my daughter is going to purchase it for her store too. https://www.inkylicious.co.uk/
  8. Tried it several ways without the {$REGISTER_CHECKED} element, I've tested it so many ways by making a purchase, checking out as a guest, checking out whilst registering for an account. Double checked the view customers section and they are all correctly labelled as either registered or guest. I've removed it and seems to be working great. Soon find out how my customers fair as the stores going back live later tomorrow.
  9. Wow is that still going, I used that 15 odd years ago before finding Cubecart V3. Seriously get off MALS and on to Cubecart!
  10. Brilliant - that worked - should I keep the value at 0 or 1 though - tried it on both and it remains unchecked Thank you
  11. After setting the value to 0 (cleared all caches) the box was still ticked by default.
  12. I have over 16'000 customers of which at least half are one time purchases, when customers go through to checkout the 'I would like to Create an Account' is ticked by default, is there anyway to have this unticked as default so my customers would have to check it in order to create an account. I've tried what was mentioned in a previous post - changing value from "1" to "0" but doesn't work.
  13. In Admin - file Manager, go in to your email contents & templates and edit the 'Order Complete' template, add whatever text and macros you want, so the tracking macro would be {$DATA.ship_tracking}. Use the plain text content. Have a look at some of the other templates to get an idea of how you can use the macros , 'Order Confirmed' template is a good one to look at and you could copy that and edit it for your 'Order Complete' template by adding or removing macros.
  14. bsmither is this something you could help me with as on my old V4 store I'm running a similar mod (View Specific Product Orders) that does this very thing: from within the product list I can click on the product name and it shows me a list of the order numbers (in reverse chronological order) , the status, date of order, customers name, address, email and cart total. I'm not bothered about seeing the customer details or status etc but being able to see how many orders have included the product really comes in handy at our year end when deciding whether to continue a product or not as we can easily see how many of that product had actually sold. At the moment I can view right back to Feb 2011 which I think is when we moved from the Cubecart V3 to the V4.
  15. Must be the way I wrote it. I haven't used any code changes, just used the setting available in admin, there is a choice of Global or per product. If stock is set to 0 it will show notification in admin dashboard as out of stock, if set to -1 stock isn't hidden from admin or store, customers can still view it in the store but it will show as 'out of stock' so they can't buy it . With the per product setting you won't get the 'out of stock' admin dashboard notification which is what I want for some products. Thought that was what Dirty Butter wanted for one-off products that had been sold but wanted to keep them on his shop for customers to view but didn't want them showing in admin dash notifications as out of stock.
  16. Found only way to do it is in Store Settings: Stock settings - Admin stock warning method: Use product specific level. My negative stock items still show in shop as out of stock and unable to buy and they don't get added to the Stock warning in dashboard.
  17. I'm going to follow this thread as I also use that method too for our back catalogue, normally seasonal items which we put on hold until later in the year when we put them back in to production. I don't want them showing in my out of stock list.
  18. Setting up my new V6 store (been with CC since V3 old stores still running on V4) and just doing some final testing before I fully upload all my products. I was checking the site on my iphone and when going to the 'Advanced search' in the search by manufacturer box it begins the drop down list with '0 items', the actual manufacturers are then listed after this. I've checked my manufacturers list and there isn't a '0 items' in there.
  19. Setting up my new V6 store (been with CC since V3 old stores still running on V4) and just doing some final tweaks before I fully upload all my products. A couple of products will have multiple product options, I've uploaded my images and in their respective image folder they are in alphabetical order, I've added my main image to the product and then added the other included images to the product. No matter how I try to add them (tried adding 1 by 1 and clearing cache each time) the images won't stay in alphabetical order. Is there a way to keep image carousel in alphabetical order. https://shop.inkylicious.co.uk/versafine-clair-ink-pad-set-of-6
