  1. Thanks to all! The problem turned out to be My hosting company enabled this service and things are now working. I was able was able to: Found the following PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function mb_convert_encoding() Interesting I could go into the admin side and the System Error Log" showed no errors In the end Havenswift Hosting method of moving from one server to another might have been a better approach Last thought on this issue. When reviewing the error log I have at least 100 entries as follows [26-Apr-2016 10:13:18 America/Phoenix] PHP Warning: No callback method defined. in /home/africandesertcra/public_html/shop/classes/cubecart.class.php on line 290 Any ideas how to fix this? Line 290 "// Update quantity"
  2. Not at all. The problem/solution you are referring to was the shop on the "old" server. Your suggestion about permalinks worked, so problem solved. The current problem is copying this "fixed" shop to new server as described above. The use of the "hosts" file was suggested by my host provider. It has worked great! I caught several problems before going live. Okay I have reached out to havenswift will let all know if I hear something.

  4. The title to this issue might not be technically accurate, but I hope is close. We have outgrown our server. Our hosting company has setup a new larger server: The procedure to copy all of the accounts from old server to new server was done by using the Backup Restoration function in WHM. Each account was downloaded from the old server, then upload to the new server. The the backup restoration process was done on new server. After the restoration was done testing between old and new servers was performed by using the "hosts" file on my local computer (PC) to force my browser to point my DNS as needed. Other than a few small database issues all directories (40+) worked fine except Cubecart. When accessing Cubercart through the Wordpress menu or directly pasting the url into the browser (http://africandesertcrafts.com/shop/, http://africandesertcrafts.com/shop6/) I get a blank page. I have read the blog post "How do I move my cubecart store from one hosting account to another" but in this situation it does not apply exactly. New server hostname is the same as the old server old server: Primary Account: centricphotohost.com Main IP: centricphotohost.com 209.200.231.145 ns1.centricphotohost.com: 209.200.231.145 ns2.centricphotohost.com: 209.200.231.145 new server: Primary Account: centricphotohost.com Main IP: centricphotohost.com 64.50.173.160 ns1.centricphotohost.com: 64.50.173.160 ns2.centricphotohost.com: 64.50.173.161 The method to test has been using the "hosts" file on my local computer (PC) to force my browser to point my DNS to old or new. I verified through myphp that the database files are all in place ( africand_ccrt6 ) I have checked the global.inc.php file (located /public_html/shop/includes/global.inc.php-dist) and the: dbdatabase= 'africand_ccrt6 dbhost = 'localhost' dbusername = (is correct) dbpassword = (is correct) I have checked the .htaccess file RewriteBase /shop6/ (for testing purposes shop6 exists in two directories: public_html/shop and public_html/shop6) ErrorDocument 404 /shop6/index.php Is it possible that all is well but there is no way to test prior to the DNS changes made to the server
  5. New info. I found the original zip file shops6.zip made right after the V4 to V6... update. I extracted this file and using the path http://africandesertcrafts.com/shop6/ the shop works fine. I then re-named the problem "shop" to shop6 and it worked. So I will try resetting permalinks. bsmither you nailed it again. The problem turned out to be wordpress permalinks.
  6. March 10, 2016 I updated from cubecart 4 to cubecart 6.0.10. Everything seemed to be working except a shipping message error. I was testing at http://africandesertcrafts.com/shop6 . Bsmither solved the problem and I changed the the shop6 directory to shop to work with my wordpress menu. I checked the shop after changing directory name and all seemed in order. I had not been back to this shop until today. We just got an new, bigger, dedicated server from our hosting company and was in the process of moving all content to new server. Out of about forty sites all went fairly well with the exception of Cubecart. On the new server http://africandesertcrafts.com/shop/* just showed a blank page, so I started a review. I was shocked to find all of the links on the "old" server are broken, and some categories are missinghttp://africandesertcrafts.com/shop/*. Clicking on a featured products, best sellers, product types, and products by region all return 404 errors. I went into the admin, maintenance and ran a "check" on all databases and all returned OK. I reviewed the products and they are still there and able to be edited. I have no idea what to do next??? *Note about servers: *Both servers are using the same nameservers, and DNS points to both. while in this moving stage I am using the "hosts" file on my local machine to switch between servers. currently if one were to go to http://africandesertcrafts.com/shop/ they would be seeing the old server.
  7. Admin>store Settings>Features bottom of page: Misc? (listed below are options. Am I in the wrong place? don't see Disable initial shipping & tax estimate) Order status for admin email notifications Increment Order ID (Experimental) Don't check skipped order processing email Hide prices until logged in Disable Checkout (Catalogue Mode Only) Allow physical orders even if no shipping options are available Disable Checkout (Catalogue Mode Only) Enable EU Cookie Compliance Force Order Completed Emails In the Free Shipping module I do not have any zones selected in Allowed or Disabled PROBLEM SOLVED! bsmither nailed it!! " CubeCart uses the store's address as the destination. " Under General settings postal code was blank, added a postal code: SUCCESS Thank you bsmither!!!

  9. Got it, set it, still have error. I first used the "USPS Username" that worked in the 4.4.8 version of the shop, and then tried a new "USPS Username" after I set up a new account in case there was a problem with the old account. I thought the problem might be somewhere else do to the fact the site functions correctly as long as I login or register (login/register= client shopping on the site)prior to placing an item in the cart.
  10. Sorry miss read one of your questions: Maximum weight was blank, I changed it to 50. Still getting error message. Just clarify: If I login prior to placing a product in the cart I do not get an error message, and I can complete my transaction without a problem. http://africandesertcrafts.com/shop6/
  11. Free Shipping: minimum: 200.00 maximum: blank USPS Shipping: This is a Cubecart update from version 4.4.8 (the shipping has been functioning correctly since about 2010) Shipping was calculating fine in version 4.4.8 the shipping username is the same in the updated site http://africandesertcrafts.com/shop6/ as it is the original site http://africandesertcrafts.com/shop. I don't see a place in either version of cubecart to put USPS provided access code. Just in case there was a problem transferring the old USPS API I did create a new account, and place the username in 6.0 field, and got the same results.

  13. Similar to other Topics I am getting the error message: " "The following errors were detected:Unfortunately there are no suitable shipping methods available for your order. This may be because the total weight of your order is too high or we cannot ship to your country. Please contact a member of our staff for any further inquiries." In this case the site functions just fine, but this error message will confuse and scare people away from the site. Odd you can click the error message "off", login/register, and complete the transaction. What is missing is some text stating: In order to complete your transaction please login or register. So to clarify the error message appears as soon as you go to the shopping cart, before you have a chance you creating your shipping address. The site URL: http://africandesertcrafts.com/shop6 Unfortunately there are no suitable shipping methods available for your order. This may be because the total weight of your order is too high or we cannot ship to your country. Please contact a member of our staff for any further inquiries.
