  3. Hi, Any way to use the php "include" statement in the product description area? Many products will have the same description and I would like to be able to edit them all at the same time if needed without having to edit each product description individually. I tried the standard php include but the php tag gets commented out for security reasons I'm guessing. Is there a Smarty tag perhaps that would work? Thanks!

Not sure if this is an add on or if possible doing some hacking... instead of choosing a product color option using radio, select or checkbox I would like to use small 30px X 30px images of red, blue, black etc.that customers could click on to select a color. I've experimented converting a radio list using some CSS but things got messy. If anyone has any ideas that would be great!
  7. Any plans for an updated free or paid authorize.net payment module? According to the Auth.net Website SIM and AIM are on death row... Something to think about and could prevent panic and hassle down the road.
  8. I'm surprised that the developer of CC has not chimed in here. Even a "will be fixed in the next update" would be nice. Makes me wonder if all the effort is now focused on the hosted version of CC.
  9. After several hours, posts and attempts to figure out a way around this problem I finally had to give up and try another self hosted cart script. I spent a lot of time in CubeCart and there are a lot of things I love about it but I simply cannot hand off a store to my client with this behavior, bug or whatever it is. I would suggest a fix for this problem ASAP and after that a PayPal donation link for the developer. In my opinion, technical support cost might be too high or not needed for most folks but I for one would certainly consider a donation for this great free script. Just a thought.
  10. Glad to see that I am not the only one concerned about this. I did notice that if the customer is logged in at checkout that the "new shipping options may be available" message does not appear. Problem is that some shoppers will want to check out as a guest and could be scared off with the redundant message. Al, If you are reading this, please help!
  11. bsmither, Thank you for your quick response. I am well into developing a store for a client and want to head off any problems before it goes live. BTW, I am really enjoying working with CubeCart! Very impressive and well thought out script. I spent a whole lot of time checking out hosted and self hosted carts and I am glad I found CC.

I just received an email from Authorize.net stating that they will be "phasing out the MD5 based hash use for transaction response verification in favor of the SHA-512 based hash utilizing a Signature Key".   14. It appears that SIM and AIM are now depreciated in favor of Accept Hosted which can be embedded into a Web page without all the PCI requirements. Could be an opportunity for someone to develop an updated Authorize.net payment gateway extension.
  15. Actually, I am just in the test sandbox phase of putting together a store for a client and have never used Authorize.net before. When I do a test purchase SIM works great as long as I click on that last "Return to store & confirm order" button. I might be overthinking this but my concern is that after the customer clicks on "Pay Now" and sees the "Thank you for your order!" receipt (screenshot in last post) that they will ignore the return to store link and just move on. My initial thought was to add some kind of javascript that would return to the store without having to click anything. Anyway, thanks for taking the time to look into this for me.
  16. If the customer does not click on "Return to store & confirm order" The order will still show up in the cart as "Pending" BUT no emails will be sent to merchant or customer.
  17. Anyway to automatically redirect back to the cart "thank you" page after payment using the SIM Authorize.net payment extension? After payment the customer must click on the "Return to store and confirm order" which can be a problem if overlooked. I've tried adding https://www.mywebsiteurl.com/index.php?_g=remote&type=gateway&cmd=process&module=Authorize to the Default Relay Response URL field in my Authorize.net sandbox account but all that does is take me to https://test.authorize.net/gateway/transact.dll and gives me a no styles version of my home page. Thanks!
  18. Hi, According to https://developer.authorize.net/api/upgrade_guide/ AIM & SIM are depreciated for Authorize.net. SIM is being replaced with something called "Accept Hosted". Any plans on updating the Authorize.net payment gateway extension or perhaps instructions? Thanks!
  19. Ahh, after three days and some help from {debug} I came up with {if $product.options != ''} Works great so far.
  20. Thanks for the quick reply! I did find the cause and a solution that was quite simple. It turns out that XAMPP converts all the table name beginnings of CubeCart_ to cubecart_ and everything still works fine on my local machine. After importing the database file to my server database (cPanel ) everything choked on the lowercase table names. All I had to do was go into PhpMyAdmin, select all the tables with the checkbox and bulk rename all the prefixes to CubeCart_. Hopefully this will help someone else with same problem.
  21. Hi peterp, Did you ever find a solution to the Notice: `name` is not allowed as a key in 'CubeCart_config' table! error? I have the same problem, CubeCart worked fine on my local machine but not after uploading to hosting account. There seem to be a lot of complaints about this but no real solution so far. Thanks!
  22. Any hints on how to "testing for the presence of options"? I have managed to replace the add to basket button on the category page for products with options with a view options button by manually adding each category name to an "if" statement in the content.category.php file as seen below. Ideally I would like to add a statement that would automatically replace the add to basket with view options button only if the product has options. Perhaps an if statement of some kind that would check the database for a product with options.   23. Thanks for the reply bsmither. I understand your explanation but I still think that "Address has been updated and new shipping options may be available. Click "Checkout" to proceed." is confusing and redundant when there is only one shipping option available. Especially when a customer will have to see this notice two times. Anyway, I really like CubeCart and will keep looking for a solution. I don't give up easily :)
  24. First off, what a great open source script! Very kind of the author to make this available. Anyway, not sure if this is by design but during checkout after filling out billing and delivery info I click the "Checkout" button and the next page shows a green banner at the top with " Address has been updated and new shipping options may be available. Click "Checkout" to proceed. ". When I click "Checkout" again the same page loads again. The third click will finally take me to the payment page. This will confuse and annoy customers. Am I missing something? Thanks.
