    Way to change store http address outside of Admin?

    Is there a way to change the Site Settings store http  address if you can't access the admin page?

     

    My dad  discontinued the SSL Secure Certificate without my knowledge and now the store  is broken due to it being setup for "https://"

     

    Are those settings in the database?

     

    Can I change them if I have MySQL access?

    I upgraded from 5.0.7 to 5.0.8 recently and my dad said he was adding categories and it would goto the Hopepage.

    I tried it and it would also goto the homepage when I tried "Add Category" and "Rebuild Sitemap."

    One category is missing from the homepage now, but it still shows up in the MySQL database.

    I tried cleaning cache, turning it off, and all kinds of other things.

    I turned on debug and this is what I was getting:

    Appending Database name to the front of Table Name in Database Mainten

    It is appending the database name to the front of the table... I think and it is throwing it off.

    Looks like the new DB migration code will be out in V5.0.1 which should release next week.

    I do have to question the wisdom of migrating a production store, especially a high-volume store (over 5 orders a day), to a #.0.0 release software without testing on a dev/test install first. I would never just move an entire profitable store to .0.0 release without testing it all. This is why we provide beta and release candidates, but some people just won't bother for that. Because of this, it's impossible to test every potential combination of settings, etc. in development for us. That's why our customer base is so important to get that help from. [/rant]

    I think I am going to start clean. I just wish the export of products kept the image associations. My dad has 1400 products or so and he is NOT that computer literate... and I do not have much time or energy outside of work since I am a Senior Software Engineer during the day. So, I am the webmaster even though I am a Linux C++ embedded applications programmer and only know enough html/php to get the job done.

    If I export the 4.4.5 products to excel... I will have to manually make the category row be something like category_id "1"... and then redo the categories in CC5... it would be hard to make the cat ids add up. I will import the excel sheet to CC5 and just make cat_id "1" be a temp category and then re-associate category 1 to whatever the new cat_id becomes.

    It was from CC4 and even maybe CC3... to CC5.RC2.... then to CC5.

    Good catch... My dad's website stresses CubeCart because no 2 products are alike... there is a 1-to-1 relationship... Rare coins they are each unique.

    Also... the categories go a couple levels deep...

    Mine was an upgrade from 4.4.5 to 5.0.RC2... and then to 5.0.0.

    I do not know if it is related to Clearing Logs/Cache or turning SEO on/off or installing the .htaccess.

    P.S. Installing .htaccess and turning SEO off causes problems.

    Are these SEO Duplicate Entries normal?

    I get these error messages in the Error Logs alot of times. Is this just because it is trying to create the SEO Link if it is not there?

    Same here. I have seen the invalid IP address line a couple times. I have lost all the store settings a couple times too and I do not know what triggered it. I have had to go to CubeCart Dashboard and Unlock the License and relock it a couple times too.

    How about a surcharge for specific categories or products... not customer based but category based.

    Example... want to add a surcharge of 2-3% on Gold in a Coin Store for transactions(All transactions are credit card).

    Haven't tried the options in CC5 yet to see if it will accomplish this... will your mod allow this?

    View/Sort Products by Category in Admin?

    Is there a way to View/Sort all the Products of a certain Category. In other words... see what Products are in which Category.... what Category they are a member of.

    Another suggestion is to add a (# of Products) and (# of Categories) to the Title/Header of the Admin Page for example:

    I had this error come up in the system log... is someone trying to hack the site through Search? Hello(2) and World(11) were mine by the way.

    Looks like either in the code or in the search string someone was trying to use C code comments /* */ and it came through as +(*http://pwtsyccqipcw.com/*)?

    I had to go throught some hoops last night to uprgade from CC5 RC2 to CC 5.0.0... licensing wise.

    1. I copied CC 5.0.0 over CC5 RC2.

    2. It came up and said enter License #.... I was using 55555-55555-whatever.

    3. I entered my old license for CC4.

    4. Said invalid.

    5. I tried to get 45 day license... wouldn't let me since I am already a user of CC4.

    6. I paid $50 for License 4 to 5.

    It still said invalid. I didn't realize I had to "unlock" the license from domain and then enter it again in admin.

    All is fine now.

    It is not sanitizing #4 and #6 that have "%3D0"
