  1. yes i fixed this issue by renaming my logo to the default logo name and then replacing the default logo with my own found in the php skin file via ftp. hope that make sense.
  2. here`s a test store - fresh clean 5.0.8 install - not an upgrade. same issue, still can`t get images to save and show on store front without renaming the image with a zero prefix. http://www.countrystore.com.au/cubecart/ trust me to encounter a weird issue.
  3. no doubt this is a weird problem. other files with different prefixes ( ie beginning with C) will still work fine. nothing to do with hyphens as far as i can see. the image files that won`t show in store front still appear in file manager ok. the problem is that the image won`t stay marked with a star ( as the main image or secondary image) . it just doesn`t save. mind you i have always had trouble "saving" certain things in this V5 cart. for instance, when adding a product, the category doesn`t save first time, i have to go back and re-save to get it to stick. Also, i get an error message when saving any more than one note on a customer order although the note still saves. there is also an error for customers when they try to save their billing information. they have to re-enter certain info to get it to save. Maybe there is some sort of error occurring with the database or even the server permissions settings. I wish i knew. They might all be related. thanks for the helpful comments.
  4. Re issue: image upload problem in our store – images won`t save as main image - product saves but no image available. I have found what seems to be the problem and a work around. It seems to be an image naming issue. I have found that by renaming the image by placing a zero in front works! It appears that this bug is also present in 5.0.8 Examples Image name PDAB-167648 will not save Image renamed to 0PDAB-167648 will save ok. Image name TWB-MR250 will not save Image renamed to 0TWB-MR250 will save hopefully this will be helpful to others with this issue. i have reported this bug to CC support
  5. I have been battling this problem as well. The cart will not upload new images. ver 5.0.7 I also installed a fresh v5.0.8 just to test the theory and it won`t upoload images as well. others must be having this problem. The cart is useless without being able to upload images.
  6. i have just discovered i have the same issue - latest vers. 5.0.7 . when adding a product, it initially loses the category and i have to re-do, but now I can`t get an image to up load at all. really annoying. i hope there is a easy answer to this.
  7. thanks, happens just on new registrations. nothing of note in the admin error log. a baffling mystery at the moment.

Not receiving the confirmation email from mantis after registering. nothing in junk mail either. when i try to re- register a second time, it then tells me that username is in use - so it has at least accepted my username . but still no confirmation email a day later. can`t activate the account without it. darn it.
  10. ok, i have had to edit how this error appears: When a new customer first registers and enters the billing address information and presses save, the following red box error is displayed: "The following errors were detected : failed to save address" and the billing address fields display blank ( see screenshot) however, the full address is recorded in admin successfully. If the customer ignores this error and clicks " Your address book" all the billing address info is there fine and the customer can proceed as normal. However, because the customer only sees the error, they keep re-entering their info. The result is that the address is then recorded multiple times and the customer is frustrated not being able to get past registration. no mods in the store, latest CC5 version 5.0.7. PHP Version 5.3.10
  11. ok suddenly this is a concern. the cart has begun to report lots of errors. CC5.0.4 Hi everyone, I have some serial spammers somehow registering an account everyday which i am constantly deleting. here is an example of the email address [email protected] I have captcha enabled on both contact us and when ordering as a customer. i can see a log of their activity in Staff Access Log/Customer Access but there seems no way of blocking the ip or the email address? Is there a control in CC5 to block these pests? Could they be coming in through the "subscribe to newsletter" function? Thanks
  15. i get to images tab, then i "choose file" from my PC to get the image, but then i must press "save" or "save and reload" to upload the image. I don`t have the option to give the image a star . You must already have all your images uploaded to the server?
  16. Thanks guys, I`m sure full store upgrades to new releases are a piece of cake to many savvy cubecarters but i find it a headache, particularly with mods involved. It looks like i am not the only one who has noticed this quirky behaviour when uploading new product. I can understand bugs must happen with new versions, but uploading new product is a basic important function and i am scratching my head to think it was buggy on CC5.0.4. yep i have tried saving at each tab but still have to go back a second time along the way.
  17. CC5 Version 5.0.4 I haven`t been able to find this issue as a bug so hopefully someone can solve it. When i add a new product i go to each tab progressively and fill in the details as i go. I get to the last tab, choose and upload the image but when i go to either save, or save and reload, it fails to assign the image and category. I then i have to find the saved product, find and assign the uploaded image , and re-select the category to get it to work. So i effectively have to add the product twice. Anyone else? Surely i don`t need to update the cart again to the latest version to solve this do i? Thanks

  19. Contact Form status is ticked active in admin and has an email allocated but no sign of the contact Form on the store front. Any clues? Thanks

  21. The search function is poor in my opinion because it is far too rigid. 1. Store front search function will not recognise product codes or reference numbers containing a hyphen "-" . for instance: search product code BCBO-2607335216 gets no result. search 2607335216 will find the product. 2. NO partial word search! Even old versions of cubecart had partial word search which made the search tool far more powerful and flexible..and actually gave the customer some relevant results. for instance: the following numbers all refererence to one 2607 series product 2607335055, 2607335071, 2607335081, 2607335244, 2607335250, 2607335151. However trying to find any products with a 2607 prefix by searching "2607" will give no results. bad. In my opinion, it is far better to get more results than required with a partial word search than to get no results at all. partial word search naturally self regulates the number of results as more accurate information is entered. Is there any easy way of changing the way CC5 does this?
  22. Just imported a large database of products to a new CC5 install. However, because the "Include in latest products" option tick is on as default on all the products, I now have the tedious task of un-ticking and saving each product to gain control over what is displayed . Is there a way of changing this default tick box to off so i can start from scratch and choose what is displayed at the front of shop? I see in the product layout there is an option to turn the latest products on and off and the number to display ..but thats it!. Thanks

  24. I have CC5 and went to list a bug with mantis but no matter how i try, Mantis won`t register me. I get the success message and that it has sent the email, but the email never arrives. I have tried different emails and passwords.mmmm http://bugs.cubecart.com/signup_page.php Thanks
