  1. Ok - I see your problem. It sounds like a manual way will be better for now. Sorry I couldn't help! Cheers, Jason
  2. Sorry Gavin, I've just re-re-re-read your original post. You can create a dimension option, and instead of the "small/med/large" etc examples I gave, provide specific sizes; 24cm x 33cm 22cm x 31cm 15cm x 19cm (etc) You can then assign these to a product, and vary the price (if required) This will work in unmodified CubeCart. Now... if you have lots of different sizes, this will become difficult as you'll see a long list of sizes... and you may need some custom coding. It would be helpful to know what you are selling? If its a product that will be made/cut to customers required size then any coding would be easier. If there are only a few allowable sizes per product (but these vary from product to product - ie Windows/Doors) then this could be tricky. So - would I be right in suggesting that you want; Width: [24]cm Height[33]cm (values in square brackets in dropdown or other) If you have a URL, please post (or PM). Cheers, Jason
  3. Hi Gavin, Visit my CC4 trial and enter some text; http://race-alternative.precious-group.co....at&catId=16 I've just checked, and its ok here - but it sounds like a bug in your admin area? This is CC 4.4.1 - a clean install a few weeks ago. What version are you using? I think we'll get this fixed soonish...
  4. Hi Gavin, Ok - I understand. Admin->Options 1. Create an option Name="Size" Type="TextBox" Admin->View Products Locate your product, then Edit Scroll to bottom of edit page, to see Product Options Select drop-down to show your "Size" option Click Update This will give you a simple text box for the product. As this is "free text entry", customers can enter anything - and the store will simply pass this onto you (so no calculations for Price) Hopefully this is what you need? Cheers, Jason
  5. Hi Gavin, It takes me a short while to get into the Options. CC4 is better than CC3 as you can assign them from the product editor (as I found out the other week...) Ok - I'll run through a quick tutorial (I'll assume you don't have an existing option called "size" - you can call it something else if you do, whilst you get used to the system); Admin->Product Options->"Create an option" 1. Type "Size" for the Option Name, leave the Type as "Default" (this will provide a drop-down box) Click "Add Option" 2. Create an option value On the Option Name (use the Drop-Down box), select your new "Size" Option. Type "Small" on the Option Atttribute Click "Add Attribute" repeat #2 for a few sizes - these can be "Large", or "44.23mm", or anything. 3. Assign option & value to product Select a product on the drop-down Select the option ("Size") Select the attribute ("Small"/"Large" etc) If the Size DOES NOT effect the price, select "N/A" for the Add/Subtract drop-down. If the Size DOES effect the price (ie more $$ for "large"), then select "Add" and enter the additional charge (use subtract for a discount for small items) Click "Add Product Option" Repeat #3 for all sizes for this product. Now... once you have the attributes you need (small/med/large etc), you can assign these within the product editor - so effectively doing step #3 in the product editor and not on the options page. This may be quicker - and is probably less confusing. I hope this helps, Jason

    Super admin?

All fixed now. For future reference (ie anyone else have this problem); https://support.cubecart.com/index.php?_m=k...;kbarticleid=25 This also applies to CC3. Set "superuser" to 1 to become full admin. You will need access to the database (so cPanel with phpMyAdmin, or your hosting control panel). Jason

    Super admin?

Hi Rob, this is fairly easy to reset, but does require access to the database. I have PMed you, and can help reset this for you very quickly. Regards, Jason
  8. Best ask over at Cubecartforums.org (link in my signature). Modifications are not discussed here. Regards, Jason
  9. Darren, you will need to get a 3rd party developer (or code it yourself) to do this for you. This type of work is not discussed here, and you'll find commercial devlopers over at cubecartforums.org (link in my signature) Thanks, Jason
  10. Hi, please visit cubecartforums.org for 3rd party mods/developments. Regards, Jason
  11. Visit the site in my signature (cubecartforums.org) for free and commercial 3rd party services. Jason
  12. This sounds very unprofessional of them. Are you sure its actually McAfee, and not a salesperson calling on behalf of McAfee? I get lots of this - I'm a wedding DJ, and so have to provide my full contact details on my website. I get frequent calls from "on behalf of Google/Microsoft", and also get the same in my day job.. For any cold calls - I tell them I do not do business that way, and will research my own suppliers, thank them and hang-up. So - if you get any more of these calls, clarify who is calling.. McAfee, or a distributor/agent etc... I normally get "Hi, its xxxxxx here from Microsoft". Me: "actually Microsoft?" Them "I'm calling on behalf of Microsoft"... The rest is short n sweet (but polite) :-) Business owners are required to know the laws/legislations that they need to run their business in. UK would be TAX/Data Protection/HSE/Consumer Law and many more. So... if PCI is a requirement, it is the business owners obligation to be aware of this and comply. "sorry, I did not realise" is not a valid excuse when you're running a business.
  13. As Robstar says, You are looking to modify the code. Not a problem, but this should be discussed over at .org (the forum in my signature). There is a very good reason for this - and you'll find people who can help/discuss your needs in that forum. Regards, Jason
  14. Hi, CC2 is fairly old, but there are still developers who can help migrate. Post your requirements in .org - if you're happy to go to cc4 (no reason why not!), then it should be easier to cc2>cc3>cc4... Take a full back-up of your store, and download it before any work is started. Jason
  15. Hi Beatrice, CubeCart.com Support for the unmodified store. So typically this would be install/pre/post support, and discussion on how to use the software. Advertising and listing other sites is not permitted. There are also sections for reporting bugs, to help improve the software. CubeCartforums.com 3rd party support. This will involve tweaks/hacks and fully developed mods. A selection of free and commercial (paid), mods and templates. You can also hire a developer for your specific needs, and request a mod is created. This is separate from cubecart.com Back to your question - this should ideally be cubecartforums. I would suggest either asking in the "request a mod", or "hire a developer". In either case, this would probably be a "paid" bit of work. In both forums, no-one is paid for helping others - its all voluntary. There can be paid-for support direct from CubeCart support staff, but this is normally purchased under your cubecart customer panel. You can also use 3rd party developers over at cubecartforums.org There is no priority given to Payment Gateways, and these are listed in the order created. Ordering by the name (ie Paypal, then Print Order Form) would be possible, but allowing the store owner to define their own order would require software changes (and so cubecartforums.org) Jason
  16. This will require a modification to the core code, and so visit the forum in my signature to locate a developer. Jason
  17. Not out of the box. I don't know of any existing mods to do this, but it should not be a massive project. You will need a 3rd party developer to code this for you. Please visit the forum in my signature to discuss 3rd party modifications. Jason
  18. Hi Dan, I think you're nearly there - good work so far. There is a documentation project for the template engine, and this explains things better than can be covered here (this forum is not really for changes to the code). You'll find this information on the site in my signature (cubecartforums.org) If you do have questions, I'd suggest asking over in the other forum, lots of people who can help - and also lots of resources. Jason
  19. Fantastic stuff! The facebook "like" info is not that visible (grey text on dark background) and should be more visible if you want to encourage people to "like" it. The opacity effect on the frontpage latest products, could be a really nice fade, as opposed to a hard "mouse on/mouse out" change. This would match the slick menus. edit: just noticed a style hasn't been changed on the advanced search (blue boxes for submit and reset, and blue title) Also style on Registration page, when I didn't add any details, it displayed the default pink background box with red border - error message in blue. Probably worth running through this kind of thing I'm sure there could be others (customer login page/account panel etc) Good luck with your store! Jason
  20. Update: You'll find this hack in the "hacks and tweaks" area. You'll need to know how to edit files (FTP etc), but its a very simple change.
  21. This will need a code change. I've just had a look, and as I expect this will be a popular "tweak", I'll add it over at "cubecartforums.org". Please visit the site in my signature. This should correct the "admin" drop-down category boxes to match your specified order. Regards, Jason
  22. Visit www.cubecartforums.org for 3rd party Skins and Modifications.
  23. A broken link on the following page; http://www.fairyflydesigns.com/cart/index....amp;productId=9 (view larger images) Whereas the following works; http://www.fairyflydesigns.com/cart/index....amp;productId=8 Personally, a Lightbox style pop-up would be better. Also consider watermarking these high-res images. They are high enough resolution to be modified and printed. There is a good CC3 watermarking mod (watermark is applied automatically by the server) I also don't think the adverts for "clever chick creations" on the sidebox is really suitable. You also appear to be selling physical items/downloads, and templates really don't really fit (IMO!) with the other products. If YOU are "clever chick creations", then set-up a separate store. Also...87 validation errors on the homepage!; http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http://w...Validator/1.781 Visually, a good design for the type of products (baby/tags/cards etc), but does need some work technically - the above errors are mainly simple to fix. Not sure if you checked on other browsers? I suggest checking it using the free browsershots service. Jason
  24. Hi Hugo, Please visit www.cubecartforums.org for 3rd party modules or services. Thanks, Jason
  25. I'm sorry - you'll need to be a bit more specific. What troubles are you having? If you get an error message - please copy & paste. Be aware that this is not official cubecart support, and we (as fellow forum members) do not know your site address, only the information you've posted above. Regards, Jason
