  1. Hi all, for Leverage Browser Caching in CubeCart 6.0.4 try the following instead of the above mentioned GTMetrix code suggestion: <IfModule mod_expires.c> ExpiresActive On ExpiresByType image/gif "access plus 1 month" ExpiresByType image/jpeg "access plus 1 month" ExpiresByType image/png "access plus 1 month" ExpiresByType text/css "access plus 1 week" ExpiresByType text/javascript "access plus 1 week" ExpiresByType application/javascript "access plus 1 week" ExpiresByType application/x-javascript "access plus 1 week" ExpiresByType image/x-icon "access plus 1 year" </IfModule> Cheers, ../ambidex
  2. Thanks Robsta, I have already checked the other Forum, too but will give it another go! I found the function in the Admin Settings but it was too late. I am just wondering why this function is still enabled by default in the upgrade file....
  3. Hi all, we run a small shop since a couple of years now and we were happy with CC3, paid for a copyright removal etc. and never had major issues. Therefore I was confident to upgrade to CC4 and, *shock horror*, for starters all customers received an order cancellation email..... This was not documented in the readme.txt and the little setting in the upgrade file was still not set to zero, I had to perform a major search on the net to find this information. A very, very disappointing experience that was. Many customers called, emailed most of them reported us a hacker attack.....extremely embarassing and unprofessional. The next point (and my only remaining issue at this stage) is, that I miss the usual order conformation emails. CC3 used to send a detailed order confirmation. I have spent many times on the web to find out more but with no luck. The only thing I found is that it seems to be a "feature". Another info in this forum links to a hack on the vision3d.co.uk server, which is blocked (today) since it distributes malicious software. Hm... Wow. I didn't expect such a change in the checkout process without informing existing customers before they upgrade. Apologies if I have overseen this information but I am sure that I didn't. Now, am I the only idiot who thinks that a full featured order confirmation is a good thing to offer both, customers and backend staff? Or, even worse, am I the only one who couldn't find the right button for that? I am also happy to pay for a mod but the rest of the world seems to be happy with the one-liner sent to the customer & backend staff during the checkout in CC4. Can anyone please point me to the right direction? Cheers!
  4. Howdy, check this out: http://www.mamp.info/en/index.php The abbreviation MAMP stands for: Macintosh, Apache, Mysql and PHP. With just a few mouse-clicks, you can install Apache, PHP and MySQL for Mac OS X! Often sought-after and now available from living-e AG, MAMP installs a local server environment in a matter of seconds on your Mac OS X computer, be it PowerBook or iMac. Like similar packages from the Windows- and Linux-world, MAMP comes free of charge. Works fine for me. andre
  5. Brivtech: Thank you, this is a great piece of info! I am sure that I tried all this but I will do it again, and i hope that I have overseen something Thanks again, will keep you updated.
  6. Hi everyone....well, it seems that I join the queue! I have XTCommerce, osCommerce and ZENCart running on my server. All work fine, shared ssl is no problem. Some other CMS like Joomla and Typo3 run like a charm with shared ssl as well. Now with cubecart: I am lost! I tried all combinations I have found in the cubecart forums, really, everything gives me a loop. I checked via sslcheck.php and it seems that it is ok as well. Where is the hidden secret, guys? Why does it only happen with cubecart? I am ready to buy a real ssl cert, but i read in the forum that it might fail as well?! I have just had many problems with XTCommerce (oscomerce fork) and started the whole migration to cubecart. Now this silly ssl problem eats up my time. I am happy to pay for cubecart, I have another 3 shops waiting to be set up. But I am a bit careful now, if ssl does not work there is no point in buying it. No offence, ok! I don't blame the developers but can't this just work like on other cart/cms systems? Any help very appreciated! Best regards, andre
