Yes, well that's pretty much what I thought it would be for but for the life of me I just can not find where in - admin/Customer List - it can be managed. I'm looking in admin under Customer List - am I looking in the wrong place? bsmither - strike that last reply. I'm obviously going blind. Very first column - tick/x Dear me! So I guess it's either 1 or 0 if it's only used for that purpose. Is it used for any other purpose? Cheers, Neil

CubeCart 5 I need to extract a list of Newsletter Subscribers for an external process I am developing. I can get these from the newsletter_subscriber table. However looking at the current contents of newsletter_subscriber, I see that it is littered with spam/spurious entries. A number of entries have customer id values in [customer_id] and a number of entries have a validation value in [validation]. These rows appear to be mutually exclusive. So, I guess I will be selecting the rows with customer_id values, but how then would I identify valid entries for NON customers? Unfortunately I'm guessing there is no way to discriminate between the (valid) non customers and the (spurious) non customers entries? Any ideas? Neil

Hi Folks, Using CCv4. (4.3.7) I have the entire store set up complete with stock and pricing/ tax etc. I am in the process of configuring the shipping charges method and have decided to use Shipping Per Category. For test purposes only I have entered only two ISO codes (GB and US) see below, and test values in the category shipping fields. I am set up as a customer based in United Kingdom (ISO: GB). I can't see what else I would need to do to configure this properly, but it does not appear to be working when I go to checkout. No other shipping methods are enabled. These are the setting used to configure the Per Category method. ------------------------------- Shipping by Category (set-up): Status = Enabled National Countries = GB <- for test only International Countries = US <- for test only Handling Fee = [left blank] Tax class = VAT Standard ------------------------- Category setup: Product category: Clothing/Wellies Per shipment = 8.00 Per item = 6.00 Per inter'n shipment = 18.00 Per Inter'n item = 14.00 ----------------------------- I add one item from the category (Clothing/Wellies) Go to checkout There is a drop-down list labelled 'Shipping' which contains the value £0.00. The drop-down box *will* drop down but there is only the one value in it £0.00 Can anybody explain what I am doing wrong Thanks Neil

Hi Folks, I want to add another text/message area to the homepage - more or less - identical to the current homepage message (../admin/docs/home.php). I've done quite a bit of development work using procedural php (not professional!) but this OOP leaves me completely bewildered. I guess I should be able to a. add a new column to the DB (I can do this). b. copy 'home.php' and rename it to (say) 'news.php'. Then revise the code to relate to 'news' rather than 'homepage' ? c. I'd also expect to copy/revise the SQL for the requests -- but where to find them? d. then I need to be able to integrate the new procedure into the admin menu e. finally I need to integrate the output into the front page - template ? I've tried searching the forum but I haven't come up with anything quite specific. Any help much appreciated. Neil

Basically I want to manage the design of the Home Page {HOME_CONTENT} separately from all the other Site Docs. I want to control the background and foreground colours and text attributes separately. I have created a new CSS class ("homecontent") for this (no problems there), but I just can not find where to place the class assignment (class="homecontent") in the site templates. Can anybody point me to the proper template file for this please. Many thanks, Neil
