I'm not sure why these question marks are included. It may just be that the file became corrupted when building this latest release. That is not the only file affected. I've also noticed that the SEF URLs for products no longer work if CubeCart is installed within a directory containing a capital letter - e.g: /Store/ instead of /store/ Finally, the reCaptcha is broken when not using the "custom" theme included in V4.3.4. This isn't really a problem if you're using the stock skins. However, if you're using a customized or 3rd party skin, you may encounter problems. The custom reCaptcha theme's HTML is printed from a PHP file. I have no idea why the developers decided to do this. It really just defeats the purpose of a "custom" theme + makes customizing difficult (& goes against the logic-layout separation ethos). In short, I'd hold off updating to V4.3.4 for the time being.

That depends. If you want a fluid width skin, my suggestion would be to start with KitaBlue - otherwise, the classic skin is a good choice.

Out of the box, CubeCart does have a few limitations when it comes to skinning. However, if you're willing to extend the PHP code, I don't envisage any limitations as such. CubeCart is more limited by its feature set. Some of the features utilized on the referenced site are not included with CC4 as standard. FYI, that store uses X-Cart. X-Cart is more flexible when it comes to skinning. X-Cart also has more features included as standard. However, you'll find that X-Cart is much more difficult to skin in comparison. However, if you are familiar with PHP (or more specifically Smarty), you shouldn't have any difficulties.

Check over at cubecartforums.org. I remember posting some instructions a while back. I have asked the developers to consider making the change in V4. However, it doesn't look like this will be done before CubeCart V5 is released. Unfortunately, until this is done, there will not be complete separation of PHP and HTML (contrary to CubeCart's claim).

Through a Google search, this hack is common amongst older versions of wordpress. Regardless, this is malicious code and you will need to get your hosting provider to look into this. It's very likely that malicious code has been inserted into multiple files (inc. server configuration files). My suggestion would be to shut down your store while this is being fixed. If Google crawls your site and determines that your site is infected with this code, your domain may be marked as "malware".

I too recently moved away from CubeCart for my own site. I needed a licensing system, and although I could have modified CubeCart to perform this function, I just thought it would be simpler to use a script designed for this very purpose. I still love the simplicity of CubeCart and will certainly continue to work with it. I just wish the developers would listen to their customers and work towards integrating the features we're all itching for. Hopefully, the team will make good use of the survey. Please developers! Can you change your position on this. It's not a good idea to empty the basket before the visitor has completed checkout. It confuses people!

If you haven't changed any settings (under General Settings) in the admin panel... my guess is that your host changed the server time.

There are other parts of CubeCart that rely on JavaScript also. These have not been addressed in your suggestions. I'd say that far fewer than 11% of general internet users do not have JavaScript enabled. Nevertheless, it's always best to collect statistics from your site. This will be the best gauge!

However, I don't see why you couldn't use the same principal to display both the reviews and the form on the same page. You might then want to integrate some tabs to manage/hide all the content.

It does allow checkout without creating an account, but it doesn't really speed up the process. The only time saved in the time it takes someone to enter a username & password.

Things to check: 1. Google Sandbox is selected in the admin panel. 2. The correct merchant ID and key are entered (note that these are different for Google Sandbox than live). 3. The correct API callback URL is entered in the Google Checkout Sandbox control panel.

Did you edit the email templates?

You could remove the {LANGUAGES} tag from the template: skins/YOUR_SKIN/styleTemplates/global/index.tpl

Perhaps it is the way you are positioning that section. Check your CSS.
