  1. Currently using Cubecart 6.0.2, started with 6.0.0 right when it was released. I had a customer email me yesterday stating that the address information on his order was from a completely different customer. A bit of investigation showed that yes, this customer did create an account with his own information, but for some reason Cubecart pulled the address information from a completely different previously registered customer to populate the default address fields. Fortunately he caught it and brought it go my attention before I shipped his order. In looking back in the customer list, I see that many (but not all) of my customers seem to have default address pulled from previously registered customers. You can see the problem this presents, even if the customer catches it before placing an order. The software was updated from 6.0.0 to 6.0.2 right back when 6.0.2 was first released and didn't receive any indications there were problems. I'm fairly certain that the database schema was upgraded. Just to be sure, I downloaded 6.0.2 again and tried to reinstall it, but the system said I was already at the latest version and wouldn't let me proceed. I do see an error in the logs which is probably related, as it seems to be thrown for the customers who have this issue. A redacted sample is: File: [user.class.php] Line: [365] "INSERT INTO `cube_CubeCart_customer` (`title`,`first_name`,`last_name`,`email`,`phone`,`mobile`,`password`,`new_password`,`ip_address`,`registered`,`type`) VALUES ([REDACTED]);" - Duplicate entry '[REDACTED]' for key 'email' Orders also seem to be attributed to the wrong customers, which is also quite problematic. Obviously, this is disturbing to my customers, so any help I can get in resolving this quickly would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
  2. Taxes are not being added to my products. I have tried the following: In Taxes: tax class name> "taxname" > Tax Details >Display as "taxname" & "null" >tax rules "taxname" "20%" "Country=Canada, US" "all regions" apply to "goods" status "enabled" On product panel>Pricing: I add "taxname". I have tried switching "tax included" to 0 (off) and 1 (on) but neither one results in tax being added to the product when the customer checks out. I've added tax to the base price in the interim. Checkout: Paypal is the only form of checkout for our store, however the store offers a "checkout using credit card" button. The button does not auto-redirect to paypal so orders sent this way can't be processed (they end up coming up on my panel as "pending" and returning the inexplicable error message "that e-mail has already been registered") I have been e-mailing paypal invoices to customers and confirmed that no gateway other than paypal is selected, but that hasn't worked. Custom No product image image I can't locate the link to put in my own custom, logo-based "no image" box Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks!
  3. I was checking in stats and noticed that I have two robot.txt folders. how do I get rid of one. they are marked /robots.txt and //robots.txt . I am using 5.2.14

  5. Hi, Using CC 6.0.2. When a new customer registers and they fill in the address field under the address book tab and hitting "save", a message displays saying: "The following errors were detected: failed to save address." The address is not showing up in the admin panel under customers address book. I can however add an address in the admin panel and it then shows up when the customer logs into their address book. No errors are showing up in system error log. Thanks for your time :)

  7. Hello, has anyone ever received this error message and or how to fix. I've checked the shipping weights and everything appears to be fine. This is also a city in within the US. Any help is greatly appreciated. The following errors were detected: Unfortunately there are no suitable shipping methods available for your order. This may be because the total weight of your order is too high or we cannot ship to your country. Please contact a member of our staff for any further inquiries.
  8. I guess it should be something simple I am missing but I do not see option to add custom fields(additional fields) in Products & category fields? For example I need to add a Field called "Pressing instructions" on iPad covers we are selling so want to add a field in admin to enter same for categories? I can probabbly add a field in database table and add some code to admin files to achieve that but was wondering if it already exists or any third party module ? Many Thanks, Ranika
  9. I cannot edit the site documents in the admin panel of my new CCV6 store. "CCV6 ckeditor javascript error "TypeError: m.lang.contextmenu is undefined" ckeditor will not load; the above javascript error is displayed in Firebug when I select the "edit" icon against any of the site documents in my Admin ->File Manager->Documents menu. CubeCart Version 6.0.2 PHP Version 5.4.39 MySQL Version 5.5.42-37.1-log Browser user-agent Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:36.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/36.0 - although I have also tried it in Chrome 41.0.2272.89 m and IE 11.0.9600 with the same result.   10. So I updated to 6.0.2 and now in my dashboard I see over lapping text. See attached. I don't think I can fix this - or maybe I can. Maybe its my PC - if its my PC then so be it - but figured i'd bring it up.
  11. I am having a major issue here with using the Authorize.net plugin. I recently upgraded our install from a CC4 to the latest CC6 install. I followed the instructions listed on the web site for the upgrade and everything went off without a hitch. I then proceeded to reinstall any new plugins that we used in version 4 (All in One shipping and Authorize.net). Again, both installed just fine and I thought I was good to go. I configured authorize.net with the proper information (API key and Tran Key) and chose for the plugin to authorize and capture the transaction. I also chose AIM as the method of processing so that the customer stayed on the page. We have an SSL on this site as well in case the plugin requires it. The problem comes in when I try to run through some testing of the Authorize.net payment. When you enter in your shipping and billing information along with the credit card details and click 'Make Payment' the page will simply post and then basically reload itself. There isn't a response code/reason given at the top if it failed or even submitted for that matter. This process simply looks like it reposted to itself just like you were there for the first time. If anyone can help and is interested then I can set you up with a dummy order and you can put in a dummy credit card number and see. the typical visa one 4111.... is the one I use. I have even tried with a real credit card and got the same result; the page simply just didn't post to authorize.net. I would be happy at this point with getting a response back stating an bad credit card number, or anything that states it went to Authorize.net In regards to troubleshooting, I have looked over at Authorize.net to see if the transaction even attempted to post. Nothing in regards to even an attempted transaction has been recorded on Authorize.net's merchant area. I made sure that all of the read/receipts variations were listed under my account to allow this post to happen. I made sure that all the settings were exactly what we had before in CC4. I had the authorize.net plugin before on this older version of CC and it worked no problem with AIM support. I am sure I am leaving something out on my troubleshooting but I have tried several solutions to no avail. I have tried uninstalling the plugin and reinstalling it. I tried going down to version 1.1.0 instead of the 1.1.1 and had no success. I also have tried clearing my site cache in the maintenance section and that didn't do anything. If anyone has any input that would be greatly appreciated. I can answer any followup questions one might have as well on this. I apologize if I left something out of this post.
  12. Hi all, My employer has tasked me with embedding a product demo video on a product page. I've had no trouble using the YouTube video however he has decided he wants the original file embedded to remove any association with YouTube. The code I used for the YouTube version worked fine. This was: <p> <iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="214" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/LbAYBlrFhjI?feature=player_detailpage" width="380"></iframe> </p> I attempted altering the "src" to the files location on our server: https://www.leegodbold.com/public_html/video/kitsoundsonar.mp4 and https://www.leegodbold.com/public_html/video/kitsoundsonar.ogv However I get several error messages telling me that the sites security certificate is not valid, please contact the webmaster etc etc. Is there another way to embed the video? A way which I wouldn't have to deal with the security certificate and such other business. Any advice, positive or negative, would be really appreciated. I'm totally stumped as it stands as I'm not yet a pro with html. Thanks very much! George B

  14. I just realized the shipping module is now rounding up our handling charge to the nearest dollar. Good for us, but not fair to customers.
  15. I'm not sure if anyone else is having this issue but: 1. I cannot use my own product codes. It forces an auto generated code no matter how many times I click the radio button on and off... 2. The Documents link under file manager will not take me to the documents section. Instead it just reloads the current page or tab. I have to click the images link and type "documents" after the g= So far I have not seen any other issues as of yet. I upgraded to 6.0.0b7 from the last version of 5 using Softaculous.
  16. There's some kind of change in Admin Styles that is crowding the checkbox on the Maintenance Rebuild tab for me. Going back to v6.0.b6 just for the styles folder fixed it. Is this a bug, or something to do with my install???
  17. I saved all the edits I've made to v6 and Foundation, but I've discovered a problem with Add to Cart. Thinking it was something I had edited, I forced a restore back to virgin v6.0.0b6. The issues still exist. 1) It may have been there all along, as I had been testing Add to Cart with the first item in Latest Products. Adding the FIRST item works. The problem comes if I try to FIRST buy an item further down the page FROM the homepage (NOT from the full page for that item). The FIRST item on the page is added to the basket, regardless of which item I was trying to buy. Thinking the first product listing was corrupted in some way, I disabled it, but then the new First item shows up in the basket every time. I've tried different browsers, rebooted the computer, emptied the Save Cart in cpanel, deleted the cache - even though cache is disabled. Nothing fixes it. 2) Trying to Add to Cart from a Category page, without clicking to get the full information, causes a 403. 3) Trying to Sort causes a 403. I've temporarily disabled the offending Add to Cart buttons and added the More Info button - will change back when help is available. At least with the offending buttons disabled we might get a sale!
  18. I thought this was one of the logic flaws Foundation was supposed to fix. I've tried to find the file with the Payment Method choice code in it, with no luck. We only have one Gateway. As is, customer cannot check out without checking the payment method.
  19. Everytime I go to my site I get pushed to the login screen. Without fail, even with direct links to other pages. I'm assuming this is a cookie that remembers my login and wants me to just sign in. It's annoying. How do I disable this feature? Thanks
  20. Customer wrote asking for help finding a product they had previously bookmarked. They kept getting a message that it was redirecting in such a way as to never complete. When I changed to v6 I chose to make all pages https:// which means the url of the save product listing of hers should have redirected to the secure version. I tested an http:// address for an existing product and got the same error message. What do I need to change in my .htaccess file to fix this? (I do NOT use the www in our site url.) On another matter - can I get rid of some of the old stuff? It's been a LONG time since v4! The domain .htaccess has this section to deal with redirects. What do I need to change, if anything?   21. v6.0.b6 checked sequential Had a very strange order showing correct order# 1717 - notice from PP that it was paid for via PayPal, but Order did not show what item had been purchased. I did NOT get an email notice of order - showed Pending for me. Transaction log shows successful PayPal payment - everything looked normal EXCEPT for Order Number - 150224-153312-7293. I'm assuming that would have been the standard order number if I had not checked the sequential box. Thank goodness cpanel DID show all the correct order info, and I was able to add the Inventory tab info to the order.
  22. I'm having an issue with the built in tax module. I'm placing the State tax rate at .029 for Colorado. When I get to check out, it shows 3% (think it should show 2.9% like it's supposed to but whatever) but it's charging it at .0003%. So a $100 total is showing up at 3 cents tax not 3 dollars. I've deleted the rule and replaced it and I'm still getting the same result. How do I correct this?

All other previous store emails were normal (giving our real shop URL). So, something has edited our system just recently so that the emails being sent out are replacing our store URL's with other URL's that I have never heard of. Also, I just heard from a customer today that they received a notification with links to a separate address of a site "https://www.englandinn.com/index.php?_a=product&product_id=5" So, something is changing this. Has anyone heard of this before? I am not sure if it is a Cubecart vulnerability, or its from my webhosting providor issues? I upgraded to 5.2.16 just now, does anything think this will solve the problem? Please let me know any input, thanks!
  24. How do I unblock a locked account? I managed to lock myself out of my own store (lol) by forgetting I had the caps lock on. Now this is not my admin login, this is a customer account I created to test things. That being said, I was blocked from accessing it. I could not find anywhere how to unblock my account (or anyone elses for that matter). I tried to create another account and it blocked the creation of that as well (givenly) but than created it after I had to go in and delete the user.class.php file after 15 minutes of not allowing me to sign in. Not sure why it held onto that information if it was blocked from creating it.
  25. Hello, We are just experiencing a sudden software licence error on our existing live store. Our admin is completely down, this is a Cubecart 4. We never ever faced such issue before in the past four years and nothing has been amended in our core files recently which could explain it. Here is the message when we try to log into our admin: Software License Error #8 Software License Key has been disabled. Status: includes/extra folder exists and is writable. includes/extra/key.php doesn't exist! Note: The key.php file can be deleted at anytime and the store will attempt to regenerate it. Your software license key is held in the includes/global.inc.php file. Solution: Please contact our sales staff and they will investigate this for you. ------------------------------------------------------- Our hosting company has tried to upload a back file of the key but as soon as it is done and the page is refreshed, the file disappeared and clearly the store cannot regenerate it. We are quite desperate especially happening on a Friday evening !!! Can anyone help us here ? Many thanks Sandrine
