I'm running CC 6.0.4 I was searching through the store setting and did not see anything about bxSlider I would like to know where I can make adjustments to BX Slider including: adjusting the image sizes where I can create a new slider how do I add a new bxSlider to a category page or product page Thank You in advance for your help!

Greeting to cubecart's team and cubecarters, I just started using cubecart v6 and I was very impressed with the functions of cubecart. However, I'm now encounter some problems and I need some suggestions here. I used Softaculous to install my online ecommerce website (Ohsembuy) with the latest cubecart v6, it's working fast and smoothly without any hassle. Until now, I've uploaded more than 20 products onto the store. Yesterday, I'm ready to add the "Online Payment Gateway" from "WebCash". The customer support manager from WebCash informed me that I need to insert the "Online Payment Gateway API" by myself. I login to my webstore and try to add on the gateway API. However, I found out that I can't edit those PHP codes (All the PHP codes are fixed) just like the below picture: I can only view the PHP info, but can't barely change or edit the PHP codes. My question here - Is there any alternative solution for me to add the "Online Payment Gateway API" onto my webstore, since I can't change or edit the PHP codes? PS: I really need to solve this problem urgently, hopefully someone will guide me here. Thanks in advanced. Regards, Simon Wilson.

My new CC6 store is now up and running, thanks to Al for his considerable help moving it over for me. https://www.boo-creations.co.uk/shop/ It's not a deal-breaker, but I wonder if there is a better way to do things to save data capacity, in respect of my image files - I'm ending up with a lot too many of them - that is, several versions of the same image. I presume these are to allow for different skin and image handling arrangements? I'm using an edited version of e-Tone and MagicThumb plug in for my image display as I didn't like how they worked in the skin (don't entirely like MagicThumb either), my smaller images are I think the limiting factor. I tried a couple of items with larger images, but prefer to stay smaller as my items are small. I create my own 'as seen on the page' image files that are almost always 392px wide, with varying height (i.e 390 + 1px border all round) - this was a habit I formed with my old CC3 store as in the early days, this was more than sufficiently large as screens were much lower res than now. I supplemented this by uploading my own 90px wide thumbnails and found a hack somewhere to stop CC3 generating its own thumbs and over-writing mine each time I edited a page. As I've moved to a CC6 store, Al imported all of my images, which is something like 4500+ of them and the same amount of associated thumbs (although they're not used on this version). I've added a few new items to this shop and updated a few images and ftp'd them to the images/source directory, then 'updated the file list' - this works and images are where I expect and correctly appear in listings etc. The thumbs used by MagicThumb resolutely remain at 40px wide, no matter what size I specify in the settings. The original file was 46Kb and the additional ones are something like 215Kb - significantly more and with the amount of images I have, it's about 1Gb of additional files - some are duplicates or not even used. Can I upload images directly to the cache directory, or does it need to be in source to allow a file table (or whatever the correct term is) to be built? Can I delete them from source later, once they're in cache (and delete unwanted versions, like the 600 one), or can I prevent it from making so many copies that aren't needed in the first place?

Hi all, I've been troubleshooting this issue for days, any help is much appreciated as I'm still very new. I'm using CC 6.0.11. My client's storefront requires 8% sales tax only in the state of CA and only on the product, not on shipping. This is working smoothly, except when a customer uses a coupon code. If a coupon code is entered, the product is discounted, then shipping is added, then tax is calculated AFTER shipping. I need tax calculated before shipping. So a product at $19.99 is discounted 15% = $16.99 [[ I'd like for the 8% CA sales tax to be calculated here ]] + $4.99 shipping = $21.98 [[ But the 8% CA sales tax is calculated here ]] $21.98 x .08 = $1.76 sales tax Total is $23.74, BUT the tax should be $1.36 in this scenario, making the correct total $23.34. Any suggestions? Thank you!

box.session.php display the customer name this way {$CUSTOMER.first_name} {$CUSTOMER.last_name}... content.profile.php use {$USER.first_name} ... if i want to use any of those in, for example, content.account.php something like <h2>Wecolme {$USER.title}</h2> doesnt work how can i make the data available for other pages?

Hello Everyone! Version: 6.0.9 Skin: Mauris with a few tweaks I started noticing a few weeks ago, that the "Image" at the top center of the store (that appears on all pages) takes you to what I will refer as my 'Front Page' I'll elaborate, website is www.MyWebSite.com, to access the store it's www.MyWebSite.com/index.php So you're poking around the store looking at all the goodies, then go up and click on the image, it takes you to www.MyWebSite.com instead of www.MyWebSite.com/index.php I can't figure out how to fix/change this, but I think it's odd and it should just take you back to the cart's 'Homepage' A few days ago, I was doing some testing as I hadn't received any orders in awhile, I went to my 'Homepage' @ www.MyWebSite.com/index.php and clicked on a random 'Add to Basket' of an item, to my surprise, it took me to my 'Frontpage' www.MyWebSite.com. As a quick fix I attempted to just REMOVE completely the 'Add to Basket' button as maybe this is known issue and will be fixed in a patch and with my VERY basic coding skills, removed it, but it left a funny looking | below the price of the item, so I reverted everything back.... Today, I decided I was going to switch to another skin, see if all the buttons and everything worked correctly elsewhere, as maybe there is something I have done. I have the "Allow Customer to Change Skins" option set to YES, but something funny happens when I go to www.MyWebSite.com/index.php and it attempts to load another skin..... It DOES NOT load a NEW skin NOR does it load the 'Homepage'! It takes me to my 'Frontpage' @ www.MyWebSite.com!! As part of testing, I did go into my Admin side and changed the skin to a few different types (Foundation, Crosshatch, etc) and I'm having relatively the same problems... 'Add to Basket' takes you to 'Frontpage'... or even somehow manages to load the 'Frontpage' into a box on the 'Homepage' I do run 2 other online stores, they don't seem to be having any of these issues, so I'm sure it's something I have done. I have just noticed that PHP 5.5 is reaching end of life in 2 weeks. Will CubeCart 5 and 6 run on PHP 5.6? I have just seen the demo store run on 5.6 but will CubeCart 5 run on 5.6?

Hi! It seemed to me there was a way to change a payment method or complete a pending order. Here is what I mean... A customer places an order. Their card bounces. We call them and let them know their card has bounced. They give us a new card so now, instead of being able to go in through the cart to process (Authnet) credit card payment, we have to either enter a new order, OR, log into Authnet and enter a new transaction. Is there a way to activate an order and change the payment method and/or try a payment from our side with a different credit card number from CubeCart, rather than logging in to Authnet and creating a whole new transaction there? Or re-ordering the same order that failed earlier? Thanks!

Hi Cubecart forum, I have found in: Products/images there is an Exclude Image tick button. However I am unable to click on it or even untick the included Image box. Does anyone else have this issue? I also found that if I uploaded an image with the same name I get both listed in the file manager. Your comments and observations please.

Dear all, I wish to display Category Images on Home page (Main Area) instead of products. Once User click on Category Image, he should be able to land on products ssigned to that category, is it possible ? Actually I am not using CUBECART for eCommerce we are using it as catalog CMS. So, when my store was installed some years ago it was a different time.... now I am wondering if I could EASILY move my store from it's /store/ directory to the root directory without issue?? Is there a write up on this somewhere? I couldn't find one if there is. If it requires database changes and all that reconfiguring it is not worth it in my opinion. I will need to just create some sort of redirect to point to the /store/ directory, but I'd really rather avoid that. Any help is appreciated.

I am using the "Clean" Skin and am wondering if there is a plugin or any way to add custom boxes to pages to add Amazon Associate (Affiliate) links similar to Google Adsense ads to the page? This was the first time we got an order form the US Virgin Islands on Cube Cart. There is a selection for Country "Virgin Islands U.S." Which our customer selected when setting up their account and attempting to place their order. They got an error, and the system message said to contact us. So the customer called. After checking the error log I found the USPS website was giving an error, looking up the US Virgin Islands as a Foreign Country (which technically it is). So I did a bit more research and found the USPS Does NOT consider the US Virgin Islands as a Country. So I had to go in and change the customer's information to Country: USA and State: VI The order was then accepted error free. There is a question though. How do I remove Virgin Islands U.S. as an option for a customer to select when opening a new account, or placing an order without an account, so this does not happen again in the future? Thank You!

I'm just setting up my new CC6 store, with Al's help and am just fine tuning the details before it goes live. One of the things I habitually do [with my current CC3 store] is put personal comments (about the order, I don't usually insult them) in the order complete e-mail - I type in the "Comments to customer" area and check the 'inform customer' box. CC6 looks to do something similar, in that in the notes section of orders, it states alongside the 'Public Note Content' box that customers can see these notes and they're appended to order notifications. I've set up my e-mail templates and signature and sending them to myself with a mock order, all appears well, except the content of the Public Note Content box isn't included. I wondered if I needed to include a macro in the e-mail template to allow this, but there doesn't appear to be one. Any ideas what am I missing or have failed to engage? Whilst I've sent up the order completed email to include some details of the order, many of my orders (as most are for gifts) require personal attention and instructions following, so I like to confirm that I've followed their specific requests.

I am interested in trying out one of the Noodleman plug-ins before I buy it. I looked on their website, and was able to download a most recent version which is purported to be available for a free trial. However, when trying to install this plug-in, there is only an option in the most recent version of CC6 to use a key code. Am I missing something or is there a secret about how to install a plug-in without the code that I am not familiar with. The plug-in I am working on installing now before purchase is product add-ons". This is my first post here, so be gentle. Thanks for any assistance you may have to offer.

Hi there, I look after a website that uses cubecart v6 in catalogue mode. The cubecart software is currently installed at the root level of "public_html" folder. We want to make some major updates without the site going down or being disrupted. Is it possible to have a second version of cubecart running from another folder to work on and then when we are ready to go live take the old site down and use the new version? Thanks Amanda

I have a Cubecart 6 store, the client is using standard shipping and standard VAT at 20%, the VAT is added to the product at checkout but not to the Shipping. I can't understand why it's being added to products but not shipping at checkout. I've looked at the All in One Shipping Plugin and at the Tax section of the Web Site. I must be missing something?
