Guest
Hi, is there a way to add a larger size logo at all? When I reduce my logo file size to suit it looks that bit too small. Any advice much appreciated, thanks, Steve
vokf
Hi, Can you supply a URL - or at least the skin you're using/basing your design on? Different skin use different methods- so put it in a <div> as a background image (so you can have overlaid graphics/text), and others use a HTML <img> tag. If you can't see a <img src=".... inside the /skins/yourskin/global/index.tpl, the header image is set-up in layout.css Jason

At the moment I intend to just use the standard 'killer' skin as I am just starting out with the basics. Ideally I would like to either just replace the current Cubecart logo with my logo but slightly larger. Or even better add a full banner heading along the top of the page. Any advice much appreciated, Steve
Guest web_dummy
First rename your logo to topheader.gif now save to this folder skins\Legend\styleImages\backgrounds The part in red is the name of the skin u r using eg classic/legend or killer thats it hth Hi! I am a new user and I am trying to understand the information here to improve my site. But I don't understand this bit about changing the logo. Where are the folders? Do you mean go to the website source and change the image name there. I went to the source but could not find any place to enter my logo name. I really do not understand how to locate the 'folder'. where is it? Help will be appreciated.

Ok, to do this, you will need to know how to use an FTP client. Once set-up its mainly dragging and dropping files, just like Windows explorer. I use "Filezilla" which is free and works well. Search for it on Google, and download/install. Depending on your hosting you'll need to get to the root directory of your site. This is sometimes called "www", "public_html", or "htdocs" on some Windows servers. The list below shows the location of each default logo. Killer: /skins/killer/styleimages/backgrounds/topHeader.gif Classic: /skins/classic/styleimages/backgrounds/contentBg.jpg Legend: /skins/legend/styleimages/backgrounds/topHeader.gif Download the image, depending on the skin you're using. As you're just starting out, I'd recommend editing the image and create your logo, save in the same format and make sure the filename is exactly the same (ie TopHeader is *not* the same as topHeader) Upload using the FTP client, over the top of the original file on your site. Visit your homepage, and if the image isn't there, press CTRL-F5 to force a reload. If you encounter problems, please post the address of your site as this will speed any help. Guest web_dummy
Hello Jason, Thank you for your help. I have successfully downloaded and installed Filezilla. It looks daunting. I will get back to you wit more questions, after I've given it a go. Thank you so much for the support. Regards Hi! vokf
Ok, it looks like the logo is part of the page background. You should have got some design files with the Skin which will have the green ball, but without the "Company Logo tm" words shown. If not, I'd advise you to contact the skin designer and ask for these files. The worst case, is that you'll have to rebuild it using a graphics editor... The logo is part of the header background. I'd advise overwriting the existing files (make a backup first!), with your new design. The files will be in: /skins/Project X V1.0/styleimages/backgrounds (probably!) I think you need to contact the skin designer for help if you're having problems. I'm sure they will be able to help. Jason
